Buying cards from treasury in finals

I'm interested in how people interpret the following from page 30 and 31 in the LRB:

Inducement and treasury gold may not be used to induce Star Players or Mercenaries for these matches as the NAF, while not monitoring day to day games on the road to the finals, enforces using your own team for these important matches!

Remember that teams do not receive inducement gold during semi-final and final matches.

The last quote clearly states no inducement gold (at all) is received. The first quote clearly says treasury gold may not be used for Star Players or Mercenaries.

But it's still ok to use Treasury Gold to buy cards or bribes or whatever (except Star Players or Mercenaries)?

Page 31 top left: Remove the following sentence "Remember that teams do not receive inducement gold during semi-final and final matches."

It appears that no inducement for semi and finals was an error.

Edit to add:

as per what inducements are available at what time, it is really up to each individual commish to decide.

That would mean inducements are to be received, but neither they nor treasury gold may be spent on Star Players or Mercenaries, but on cards and other stuff.

That typo is pretty easy to fix, why hasn't it?

Edit: I know it's up to the commish, but we like to keep as close to the LRB as possible, when there is something to keep close to.

I agree; unless the commish has stated otherwise, any other inducement would be fair game.

Because there's a general 'panic' of any more changes of the current rulebook. There's a big bunch of coaches out there, who want nothing more than a stable ruleset.

So we need to wait for a 3 year cycle, until the BBRC hopefully fixes this typo in LRB6. It's like the centrally planned economy of the sowjets, even if they've located a problem, nothing could be done until the next cycle.

This may have changed since I last remember it...

Isn't the only typo the "and treasury" bit? So no inducements for semis or finals was the intent.

Please reread both statements, one says "no inducements at all", the other says "no star players or mers as inducements".

With or without the "and treasury" part, only one of them can be true at the same time.

The FAQ clearly says that the "no inducements at all" part is a typo. It hasn't been a typo during some stage of the vault process, but the rules for semi finals and finals were changed, but someone forgot to delete the now wrong sentence.
