I'm looking to increase the number of teams I have and would like to have a go with Skaven. What do you think to this starting line up for league play?
1x Thrower
2x Blitzer
4x Gutter Runner
5x Linemen
3x Re-Roll
Or would it be better to have one less Gutter runner to start with and take the extra thrower?

With four runners you dont really need the thrower to start with unless you feel you need sure hands which is possibly more useful than pass for skaven.
It's definately not worth swapping a runner for a second thrower though.
As its league, I'd be tempted to either drop the thrower for an extra linerat (so you still have 12 players) and bank the 20k for an apo after your first game, or buy the apo from the start and save for a thrower later.

Skaven throwers are more there for Leader than Sure Hands.Cookie wrote:With four runners you dont really need the thrower to start with unless you feel you need sure hands which is possibly more useful than pass for skaven.
Gutter Runners should have the ball.
Your roster is a popular starting one, few people take the 2nd runner and remember you have some exctra money for FF, staff or Bank.

Go ahead and run with the line up you have. Keep the thrower. You will be wanting to get the ball to the gutter runners and with sure hands and pass, you can use the thrower to retrieve the kick off and get it to them without using up a team reroll doing it.
And start saving for the rat ogre. You'll end up wanting him.
