Orc hardhitter

Post by Biff »

My hurter (blitzer with Mighty Blow, Tackle & Frenzy) got his 4th skill.

Im thinking either Juggernaut or Dauntless. I dont really fancy Piling On. Grab might be an option, but Im not sure. What would you do?

I have 5 Guards, 2 AG4 Side Steppers and the usual orc stuff for a team with a TV of 198. Were having a dungeonbowl semifinal next. Ill be facing amazon, chaos and human.

Guard should really be the skill he takes, since it boosts the team overall. If you want to take a skill to continue his role as a hurty blitzer, juggernaut combines nicely with frenzy, so take that. Still....I'm an advocate of taking guard first with any blitzer than can take it.

Of the two you've suggested, Juggernaut to help you punch through a defensive line filled with Stand Firm. In fact, have you considered Stand Firm? It'll keep you safer in the wide zones.

I don't like Dauntless as with the Guard in your team you should be able to engineer those two dice blocks. Also, as far as I am aware, you can't take Grab with Frenzy.

btw, I hope my two Side Step blitzers get AG4!

I'm curious - when you say that you are not fancying the Piling On skill, how much experience do you have with it? I have seen that skill used to devastating effect, and especially when you are going to be facing some Amazons, this coul dbe some serious hurt on them.

Guard is reliable, and a great choice. But boring.... Maybe Fend would be good that way he is able to keep himself mobile - free to hunt down the ball carrier.

Frenzy always begs for Stand Firm as a companion skill. Frenziers, by nature, tend to end up near the sidelines.

Another vote for Stand Firm. Stand Firm/Tackle is great. Stand Firm/Frenzy is great. With Stand Firm, he can't be blocked off the ball, or off of a receiver.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
