Pro Elf Tourney Team
I'm playing in a bit of a different local tournament here in a few months. 1.3m team value with five star player rolls to be assigned to chosen players and rolled before the first match. Three matches, full resurrection, all inducements available.
I've decided I'm going to play Pro Elves. With that, I've narrowed it down to the following rosters.
Choice 1:
Prince Moranion
2 Blitzers
3 Catchers
5 linemen
1 thrower
3 RR
FF3
Choice 2:
Dolfar Longstride or Eldril Sidewinder
2 Blitzers
4 Catchers
4 linemen
1 Thrower
3 RR
FF5
Thoughts? I'm thinking it'll come down to what other teams play. If it's like most other tourneys I've seen or heard of, it'll be bash heavy and Moranion will be a big help in attacking big guys and ball carriers. If it's a lot of finesse teams, though, I think Dolfar or Eldril might help a lot (although the Hypnotic Gaze might be wasted).
Thoughts? Muchas gracias.

I like Choice 1, but I'd turn the Thrower and 3FF into a 4th Catcher.
Or don't take a Star at all.
2 Blitzers
4 Catchers
1 Thrower
6 Linos
1 Apoth
4 TRRs
That is very durable, despite all the AV7.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

If you take choice 2, why not an Apoth over 5FF?

I was also thinking the thrower because I'll give him Leader with one of the skill upgrades, barring a double or stat increase.mattgslater wrote:I like Choice 1, but I'd turn the Thrower and 3FF into a 4th Catcher.

You've got enough TRRs. You need Kick, Dodge and more Side Step.

Healthy Blitzers are very important. I'd take an Apoth over FF just for that reason: the first BH suffered, or the first Cas suffered on a Blitzer, and I'd Apoth straight away. On an AV7 team, you can value an Apoth like a Reserve, and he's cheaper (and potentially better, if he saves you a skilled player or a positional).Echo Seven wrote:Resurrection tourney. That's why.
