Big Guy Traits and standing up

Post by McTavish »

This is may be a simple question, but I'm not 100% on the chain of precedence here.

When you want to stand up a Big Guy with a negative trait (Bonehead, Wild Animal, etc.), do you have to roll for the Stupid trait before you stand up?

Standing up happens "at the beginning of an action", but does this happen before or after the Stupid roll is resolved? I ask mostly because I just watched an orc coach lose a game partly because my league makes people roll before getting up, leading to his troll spending about half the game rolling around on the grass, eating bugs and picking his nose while the Sauruses around him punched out the rest of the team.

Wild Animal is the worst for this, since unless they get the blitz, they'd need a 4+ roll just to get up off the pitch...

Standing up is part of moving and you cannot move without rolling for the nega-trait.

So your league plays the rule correctly. You have to roll for Bone-head, Really Stupid, Wild Animal, Blood Lust and Take Root before standing up.

Okay, thanks. I figured it was the right way, but thought I'd check.
