2 random BB questions

Post by worthy »

I know the first is a very Nooby question but here goes...

1) It's the first time i've came across this problem, what do you do if a big guy gets knocked down and you put the model on it's back (or front) like you would with any other model to signalise that he is studde, but there is a model in the way (ie, the big troll would fall ontop of a goblin who is 2 squares behind it) as all we was wondering what to do when this happened and decided that the goblin saw it coming and moved to the side?
I can't find anything in the rule book on this (unless I missed it) so I was wondering what everyone else does in this situation?

2) The rules review here http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Cus ... Review.pdf (Page 3) replaces the Mummies with Tomb Guards but Tomb Guards in Fantasy battle are heavily armoured skeletons, so will the Mummies be classed as Tomb guards or are they no longer useable?

1. Get some prone / stunned counters from Impact, or use dice to mark the spot, hopefully remembering whether stunned or not.

2. I think most still use the original figures.

Thanks as we never thought about that as it has never happened before and as for number 2, I was wondering as I was going to get the Khemri boxed set from GW but it has mummies in it, so thanks for letting me know.

BTW that rules review I posted is out of date (hence why there is no decay rule for the tomb guardians).

You can place the big guy next to the score marker face up/face down to mark him prone/stunned.

Personally I use either 2 bases glued together with stunned/prone written on it or smaller replacement minis, placing the real mini at the sidelines.

I just put the mini down like any other one, not had a problem with this, though it does depend on what mini you are using and some people use some quite large alternatives

also blood bowl isn't warhammer so ignore what they are in warhammer ;]

My mate had a troll that covered 2 squares when put on it's back, but unfortunately 2 squares behind him was one of his goblins so if he put his troll on his back then he would fall on the goblin.... doesn't matter now as the counter idea from here works perfect so thanks for helping me with that.

Players occupy one square, regardless of how big the figure is, so they can't "fall" on other players.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I just use coins as markers.

There is a face on one side so it is easy to decipher whether they are stunned or not.

Your right so tokens are the best way because if you put the model on it's back it will cover 2 squares so I think a big guy token is the way to go here.

Thanks everybody.
