Orc mini's

Post by graeme27uk »

If I was going to use models other than the standard BB orc team what would be best?

Looking at GW models, I could use 40k boyz, warhammer orcs, and mix n match.

Does this work?

A quick search on the forum would have answered your question. Plenty of coaches have used the 40K Orks for BB teams as they fit pretty well for that job. I'm planning to do so as well.

Here is a recent and excellent example of what you can do... from the "Fantasy Football Miniatures topic":

For your other posts, one thing to consider before purchasing any third party minis for BB conversion is their scale...

I've recently purchased an Incursion werewolf as it was looking so similar to the RollJordan one i already have in my norse team. Just to make a nice looking pair. But it ended up to be much more smaller and not suitable for a ST4 norse werewolf :(

Sorry, man, if I'd known you were considering the Incursion weres.... *sigh* Great company, but the hunds are, as you found out, too small....

Go to my "Reviews and Preview" thread... and/or use the Search function, put in my name and "werewolves" and you should get plenty of suggestions.... Indeed, Reaper werewolves tend a bit St4-ish and might be good for you....

I have a recent release of Du Champs and a couple of Jesse Moonwalkers (if you are good at removing weapons) if you're interested....

n.b.: The DuChamps were is a 3-piece... so the arms could be moved, and two of the same fig used.... The Jesse were has a regular, and a mechanical arm....

no worries... i've already have 2 werewolves in my norse team... the impact shapeshifter and the RJ one. The RJ one definitively looks like a ST4 and is very dynamic...

What put me in the wrong with the incursion werewolf, is that it is very, very, very silimar to the RJ one... except the size. Are they both from the same sculptor or did one copy on the other one?

I've actually have 6 werewolves now... 2 GW for my necromantics, 1 Impact and 1 RJ for my norses, the incursion which i may use as a Wilhelm Chaney, and this one which is also too small.
