Re: WHERE TO GO WITH LIZARDS
I would probably buy one more skink if theres a lot of bashers around. How many rerolls?
Skillwise I would definately take a couple of side step, diving tackle skinks, they can be a real pain.
But it looks like you have developed your sauri nicely compared to the skinks. Get more break tackle though, and one frenzy.

Re: WHERE TO GO WITH LIZARDS
personally, i'd go for some diving tackle on those sidesteppers. your sauri probably don't need much in the way of skilling at this point though. all a saurus really needs is block, anything else is a luxury, and whether you prefer mighty blow or guard as a second skill is up to you.
got to disagree with dines though - you only need one break tackle saurus - he becomes your blitzer and gets tackle ASAP. you can also season with frenzy if you feel frisky.

I personally would get tackle on the next saurus to level. Also i like mobile teams so i put a premium on Break Tackle. Thats me though. Diving tackle on a few of those sidestep skinks and you will able to compete with anyone.

I like to take mine to the lizard park, where they can run around with the other lizards and sniff each others' behinds.

What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I agree with more break tackle once you meet a few orcs who can tie your Saurus with as many BO and linos leaving their blitzers free to skink hunt you will need to shake them off.

Re: Where to go with lizards
You need at least two with break tackle. as their second skill. Then Mighty blow or tackle. (These guys are your blitzers.
Depending on whether you want a bruising line, or a blocking line go with Mighty Blow or Guard on your other 4 Saurus's. Mighty blow helps your Saurus's skill up AND clear the pitch. However when you have a front line with a lot of guard it is easy to tuck your ball carrying skink in there and he becomes nearly invincible.
Now, skinks are an oddity for me, I have a very unorthodox expendible policy about them. If they get cool skills like block (or wrestle I guess) and sure hands I will keep em around. But if they don't get those I will dump them from the team early and often. . .or just put them in positions to get killed or injured. I am perfectly fine with having a lizard team that has 6 sauri, 1 Krox, 4-6 RR's and all of my skinks are from inducements.

Damn right. Not to mention however many other fancy inducements I get for having a 7 player roster.Overhamsteren wrote:Loner AG3 ball carriers?

Re: Where to go with lizards
Thanks for the replies
I have decided to go with all sauros block
2 with mighty blow
2 with break tackle
2 with tackle
And if I am lucky the 2 with break tackle get mighty blow
And the rest get break tackle
I am going to go with all break tackle so it is easier to guard skinks
And so all my sauros are threats to soft players and ball carriers
All skinks will get sidestep
1 will get kick on doubles
the rest will get wrestle unless building as a ball carrier then get block
diving tackle may be an option

Re: Where to go with lizards
As a third skill, I would put frenzy on one of the saurus with break tackle.
I would also consider giving that rookie saurus wrestle instead of block as his first skill.

Re: Where to go with lizards
Also, I don't get the logic in having a loner skink ball carrier. Sure, sometimes it may be necessary. But there is no need to encourage the death of skinks. Journeymen cost just as much as rookies for inducement purposes. Retiring them after they don't get doubles is OK. But you should not be going through them all that quickly (without a string of very bad luck hitting you).

Re: Where to go with lizards
I am a big fan of a Block/Frenzy Saurus. If he gets to 3rd skill I would get Tackle
As far as inducements, if down enough you can get Slibili, which gives you 7x S4 Block Players, and 1x S5 Player. This makes them a Bash team. After that skinks are icing on the cake.
Guard/Grab/Tackle on the Krox, depending what you want him to do.
