My teams, plus progress on Chaos/Cthulhu themed team Dec 7th

Post by the solitaire »

This morning my Sarcos team showed up.

Image

I will start painting these guys as soon as my dungeonbowl project is somewhere near completed

If anyone has the Sarcos miniatures and has them painted, feel free to post some pictures for added inspiration

I will post pictures of my other teams here as well.

Here´s a start:

Chaos All Stars/Cthulu of Change team. Had the miniatures for a while but decided to use them as a team last week. H.P. will be the team coach, the minotaur still needs wings, a fish tail and a tentacle mouth, and I am waiting for my Helldorado Corvus to serve as Chaos Warriors:

Image

Ogre. I have a 2nd Ogre in bitz. Will have to assemble and paint the guy when I get the chance

Image

Orks (WIP, started in 2004):

Image

Skaven (WIP, started in 2010):

Image

Undead (WIP, started in 2009):

Halflings (painted 2002):

High Elves (painted 2003):

I did some work on the Chaos minotaur, and the first two Chaos warriors arrived!

Image

The minotaur now only needs some wings, and I need to do some sculpting on the tail as well to make that into a sharks tail:

After that I will have to wait for the last 2 warriors and then I can begin painting :D

Well, the Minotaur is more then big enough without the wings, and he´ll become a real pain to transport with them, but...

...he just doesn´t look right without wings so wings it will be!

I drilled 2mm holes in the wings, leaving barely enough material to put a pin in and fitted 1.5mm hollow brass pins, filling the gaps with 2 part epoxy "liquid metal". The wings will go on and will not be removable, but they will be able to withstand some abuse as soon as they are attached.

The Kroxigor model is a Helldorado mini.
Search ebay for the words "Helldorado" and "Lost" and you´ll find a few of them for sale a the moment.

On offer at the moment, iternational postage.

OP - please paint it! You first posted about this model about six months ago iirc. Please get on with it :P

Love the Cthulu Mino, though a little dubious on the wings. Let's see how it works out!

Shteve, you remember correctly.

I bought the model and made ready to buy the Sarcos minis....

... and then life happened.

It might please you to hear it´s slowly turning green by me adding various washes to the model. Work is in progress.

I don't know what's goin on with the paint on the Cthulu team, but it's awesome and I love it. Super trippy and other-dimension-y.

Thnx :D

The main colours are blue/violet/purple.
I only used 2 colours and white on the models so far, plus green for the flames.

After I added some finer detail I´ll start adding OSL from the green flame on the models, which will cover rather large parts making the miniatures look (or so I hope) even more trippy.

I have not yet decided on how to do the bases, but I think I´ll keep them simple and dark.
