New Slann Team - What to do with a STR4 Blitzer
I've just started playing Slann in our local tabletop league, and after just a handful of games Nuffle blessed me (cursed me?) with a 6+6 roll for my one and only blitzer.
The team:
1x Blitzer (+STR)
4x Catcher (2 Wrestle, 1 Block)
6x Linefrog
4x Re-Roll
1x Apoth
I now have no idea what to do with this guy. The big issue is that he still has to take Block/Wrestle at 16spp, so any neat combos are a lot longer off than they would be for a player that started with Block.
(1) Big Killer -- Block, MB, PO. At STR4 with built in jump up, he'd be a good killer, but now we're looking at that combo not happening until 51spp, and that's still without Tackle. He'll still be good with just Block and MB, of course, but I almost feel like such a frog would be wasting its strength.
(2) Frenzier -- Block, Frenzy. A much quicker combo, as it'll only take two skills and every team can benefit from a STR4 Frenzy piece. Trouble is, with so very little Guard on the Slann, I suspect he'll often get into trouble. I suppose he could always leap to a more favorable starting point for the blitz when needed, but I've learned to never rely on leap unless it's desperation.
(3) Roadblock Guard -- Block, Guard, SF. With so very few Guard pieces on the team, I feel like it might just be worth giving this guy Guard anyways, as the team needs all it can get and at STR4 he'll be a bit harder to push away.
(4) Cage Breaker -- Wrestle, Strip Ball, Tackle. At Strength 4, this guy would be a natural candidate to leap into cages and take swings. It's a decent tactic, but I've already started developing two Catchers toward this end (Wrestle). They have the added benefit that they'd be able to pick up the final skill in the chain (Tackle) at 31spp instead of 51spp.
Any thoughts? I almost have enough in the old cash box to hire a Kroxigor, which I suspect is a contentious issue. I like the idea of a little bit more roadblock muscle and an easy Guard ferrier, plus I just really like the model I've converted for a Froxigor.

I would go Wrestle/Tackle/Strip Ball. Use him as a safety and a backup cage-breaker. With the ST4/MV7, he can be left behind your line a bit to blitz where (and if) needed. If needed, he can leap into a cage and get 2 dice on most carriers, without the need of Guard. That's pretty huge, but he leaps on a 3+, instead of the 2+ your catchers do, so use him as a second line of defense for that purpose.
A ST4 Blitzer is a nice piece.

Block, Dodge, Standfirm/Sidestep. (I prefer stand firm)
Think I would skip 10's and take skills instead. (definitely skip doubles of course)

I know it looks uninspired, but I would go for a generic build:
Block, Dodge.
A St 4, mobile blodger is always damn good, even without specialist skills.

you have already good "Cage Breakers" : 2 of your 4 catchers have already wrestle, next skills for them should be stripball/tackle (around 90% of success for a 2 dices against with a teamRR + wrestle/stripball)
So for you Str4 : i would go like this Block > Guard > Side Step / Dodge
as you said, like a "Roadblock" (i do prefer side step as standfirm)

Big killer!
I've come to think that blitzers are generally not players you chuck into a cage. Rather, they pick off low-hanging fruit by marking catchers and killing targets of opportunity. A big killer is exactly what you need up your sleeve to free up a linefrog from assisting in your backfield. With ST4, the blitzer can do his marking/blitzing alone and your spare man can shore up midfield or help press deeper for a sack.

Killer. Take PO before MB though, it is better than MB just for hurting stuff, and the option to go prone keeps him safer.
