I recently acquired 13 of the yellow plastic dwarfs from the Dungeon Bowl set. I want to build a team based around them but I figure I really only need 6-7 of the figures to be lineman (who ever has a full roster of dwarfs?). Does anybody have any examples of converting them for positionals? I think I'll try to get some of the old troll slayers and snip the weapons off as and use them, but what about for runners and blitzers? Just get some of the 2nd ed minis? I don't really feel like the plastic minis go well with the aesthetic of the 3rd team.
I suppose if needs must I could just get the 3rd ed positionals, but I'd love to hear any ideas or see photos of other teams if you've got them.

Re: Dwarf ideas?
here's a quick pic of what I have, comparing to the DB dwarf (with a different head).
The blitzer is a 2nd edition lineman with a GW HE shield decoration used for the wings.
The runner is a 2nd edition kicker.

Check out the "What are you painting Right Now" thread for J_Bone's versions.
He's used a 2nd edition kicker with wings added for his blitzer.

I used some of these for flings. Pretty easy, and they come out great! http://nzbbn.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=592
There's one in the 2014 TFF legacy team too.
