Witchelf with AG 5... what upgrades next?

Post by skeelo82 »

I have a Witchelf with block, dodge, ect and now AG 5. What should be her next upgrade?

The rest of the team looks like this after 3 games,

Thrower pass/accurate
Blitzer block/dodge/tackle
lineman none
lineman none
lineman dirty player
lineman none
lineman leader
lineman none
lineman none
lineman pass

FF 6
2 rerolls + the leader skill

any other advise on team development is welcome

Thanks
Skeelo

leap is a proper choice i think...dauntless or mighty blow with doubles.

I too am fortunate to have a 5 AG witch elf, and seeing as she already has block, I would definitely go with leap. She'll be a terror. :smoking:

Yep, leap should be the best choice i think. Its nice to roll a 2+ when using leap with a blitzer type player.
But why did you choose pass with one of your lineman? I think you better should go for block or dodge or better both of them. Better buying a second thrower than giving pass to a lineman. At least thats what i think.

I don't think pass on a lino is such a bad idea! I mean, he'll need his money to get more blitzers/RR, 2nd thrower would be one of my least choices. And so he can make the passer an emergency ball retriever. Use that witch to break cages and let the line elf take the ball and quick/short pass it to safety.

Should be quite efficient actually... Maybe complement with Leap/NoS/Sure Hands and he'll be a hell of an annoyance.

Keep out of harms way though, he will be hunted all the time!" :) Abd without block/dodge won't make it far, if attacked.

leap is good, but you can also go for Pass block, and catch. Ag 5 is great for intercepting, you need 2 pass blockers because one is easy to avoid. Leap would be great.

Depends on how you use your witch elves. Do you use them to Frenzy opponents off of the field? If you do, take Sidestep, to avoid getting pushed out yourself.

Do you run around the field causing mass mayhem, but dont go near the sidelines? Leap or Dauntless would be your best bets.

Do you primarily use them for defense? Then perhaps pass or Hail Mary Pass to clear a dropped ball to either a teammate or just to get it on the other side of the field.

I would have gone with guard or dauntless on the line elf. DE's tend to play more of a running game, and playing against strength can be a problem.

I also have a AG5 witch elf.

I use her for getting the ball from the ball carrier. For now She has Dodge, Frenzy, Jump, Block, AG+1, Strip Ball.

Next skill will be either tackle or leap, so it is easier to get to the opposing player.

Well I wanted to thank everyone for their input.. I had finally decided on Leap for my witchelf. However, in my league we still play with the old handicap cards... ie dirty trick, magic items and random events.
And of course right before she got her next upgrade the Chaos Dwarf Coach played the "peaked" card on my witchelf !!!! She was leading the league in Td's with 6 in 4 games. So no more upgrades for her. :pissed:
