Throw team-mate
I have some questions about Throw team-mate, I hope you can help me.
1. Does a big guy recive SPPs for a successfull Throw team-mate, if the right stuff player lands on his feet? After all it is as hard as making a normal pass-catch, if not harder.
2. Have you used up that one passing action alowed per turn when you Throw a team-mate? Or can you first Throw a team-mate, and then later same turn pass him the ball if he landed on his feet?
3. How is fumble calculated? Is it only on a roll of '1' or does it increase with all the tacklezones and range penalties? A treeman that will Throw a team-mate to long pass range will get -2 to success, he will still success on 6+, but will he fumble on 1-3?
4. Can a big guy use Hail Mary to Throw a team-mate to any square on the field?
5. If the Throw team-mate is fumbled, is it then a turn over?

1) No
2) Yes, No.
3) If its a 1 either naturally or by modifiers. All penalties apply. Correct, 1-3 is a fumble, 4-5 is inaccurate, 6 succeeds.

There is one thing you missed sean:
Yes, but only if the teammate has the ball. Otherwise, no.Democritus wrote:5. If the Throw team-mate is fumbled, is it then a turn over?

Actually thats not correct, if the ball handler fails his landing roll and falls prone then it is a turnover, however if he lands correctly then it is not a turnover.

If the thrown player is fumbled then they automatically go prone in their starting square, and if they're holdoing the ball it's a turnover.sean newboy wrote:Actually thats not correct, if the ball handler fails his landing roll and falls prone then it is a turnover, however if he lands correctly then it is not a turnover.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Clarification on this one ... Sean was right about everything but the last part.
A fumbled Throw TeamMate is always a turnover.
Here is reasoning and both JKL and Chet have confirmed that this is correct.
The LRB says that knocking a player over is a turnover on Page 8.
NOW the TTM rules say that knocking a player over without the ball from a failed landing roll is not a turnover, so its a very special exception.
However there is no landing roll involved with a Fumbled TTM .. thus the exception for failed landing rolls doens't apply .... sooooooo it defaults to the rules on page 8. IE you knocked a player over ... its a turnover. Trust me you don't play Halflings for year in the same league as Chet and JKL without getting spelled out the rules at some point on all the little details of TTM....
Other than his answer to #5 ... everything else Sean said was accurate.
