Astrogranite, Base Rings and more for the JavaClient!

Remember the Styrofoam pitch and the base rings on players? Well they're back for the Java client! Plus there's more...

With a request on the FUMBBL.com forums for an Astrogranite pitch I quickly made up a basic pitch, then I decided to be brave and update my personal graphic changes to the client and submit them for your pleasure (?) You can download them from the download section on fumbbl.com or by clicking on the names in this post.

Astrogranite Pitch: This is a new pitch graphic, based on the "plain" pitch by SkiJunkie (IE, I simply made it grey and changed the end zones).

Base Rings: An icon patch which gives you back the old base rings from 2nd edition which when combined with the player number feature is very handy for the veteran player to skim over players quickly.

Menu Icons: A small patch which changes the action icons (Blitz, block etc) to a text version, plus changes the referee icons and apothecary icon.

I didn't make the "plain" field. So I didn't want to get credit for it. I found it in the download section on FUMBBL. I just took it and created the weather fields for it.

Anyway, I just thought I would mention that you don't need to replace an existing field to use this new astrogranite field. ( which is cool. I always liked that styro foam field better). Instead you can create and new directory under fields (right next to "dots", "plain" etc.) You could call it "astrogranite" for example. Put this field in there and rename it to "field_good.jpg". Make sure you turn off "show weather on pitch". Now in the game just follow the normal procedure to change fields, and select "astrogranite" in the dialog.
