Math of block assists

Post by Cthulhu »

I have a question concerning the way to count block assists.
Do the assists add and counter-assists substract to the ST of the blocking player?
Or do the assists add to the ST of the blocking player, and counter-assists add to the ST of the blocked player?

For exemple, a ST4 saurus blocks a ST3 human. There are 5 skinks giving an assist against the hunan, and 2 linemen against the saurus.
So is it 4+5-2 vs 3 = 7vs3 = 3dice
or 4 + 5 vs 3 + 2 = 9vs5 = 2dice

4 + 5 vs 3 + 2 = 9vs5 = 2dice
This is the correct calculation for the block assists.

that's before TZ's on the assisting players come in, with this many assists you could imagine some getting into a TZ and thus not being an assist.

Code: Select all

sss0
sL00
s0S0
00LL

0=Empty Square
s=Skink
S=Saurus
L=Human Lineman
Highly unlikely situation, My skinks tend to disappear real quick if I ever put them that close together. Or, with that many assists, I would probably throw the block with a skink, and use the Saurus to crush one of the other two.

That's 2 dice.

Add all defensive assists to the defenders strength and all offensive assists to the attackers strength. Then work out the ratio.
