players pushed off the field AND knocked over

Post by cleminho »

P11 of the LRB:
Note that no Armour roll is made for a player that is pushed off the pitch, they are automatically injured.

This is the rule for players being PUSHED. What about players knocked over into the crowd. My question is:

-Must we roll for a AV roll and then an injury roll if necessary for ourselves before rolling one straight injury for the crowd if the player is not only pushed but also knocked over?

Nope.
You just roll the injury roll.
Remember that if a CAS occurs by this the player does NOT get SSP for it.

In my league so far, we've been playing:

-we roll for AV and injury if necessary if knocked over and then for the crowd unless the injury is a cas

We get SPP if it is our injury, if it is the crowd we don't.

Thats a pretty common house rule, but it is intended to be a straight injury roll for the crowd only.

LRB: just a direct crowd casualty.
m@hobbit league: roll for armour. If it cracks roll for injury and take the 2 spp if it's a casualty. If it doesn't crack, it's up to the crowd to demolish the player. This is slightly different from Cleminho's league. If the armour is cracked and it turns out stunted of KO, the result stands and the player goes into the right box in the dugout. We don't give the crowd another go at it.

First he is pushed back, so he is out of the pitch.
The fans will catch him so he wont hit the ground no armor or injury roll. Then they'll gang him up. Injury roll.

Exactly. Look up the blocking dice results in the LRB - "the player is (first) pushed back and (then) knocked over" - i.e. he is pushed into crowd and they make the injury roll. It's a procedural question, and not one of realism.
