Wild Animal Report:
Can I ask people out there to let us know how the new Wild Animal rules work? Please just let us know how the new WA had an impact on the game, the TR of the teams playing, and what skills it had.
I'd like to be able to refer the BBRC to this topic in the future, so please just post the results, and leave the interpretation for General Chat. Thanks!

So far.. not impressed by new WA rule.. I dont use em myself... but my opponents had the following so far...
Game 1: 192 Khemri (me) vs 190 Chaos Pact (PO,RSC,Block Mino)
knocked over and stunned the Mino on turn 1 half 1... It was rolling around on the ground unable to get up until i scored in turn 8. Second half, It actually moved twice. Threw one block all game.
Game 2: 150 Wood Elfs (me) vs app. 150 Chaos Pact (Mino had block and RSC iirc)
Mino never got to do anything all game. Think it was able to throw 2 blocks, as I just kept dodging away from it if it actually was able to move that turn. Didnt knock it down, but it stood and roard for 10/16 turns.
My opinion... make it similar to RS, the 50% it suffers now makes the damn things expensive assistant coaches imho.

Skaven (me) vs Chaos Dwarf:
Rat Ogre stands and bellows for the entire match with the exception of throwing 1 block and 1 blitz, when I got a chance to push a hobgoblin into the crowd.... and I had already won 5:0, so I thought I would take the chance and waste my blitz...
that´s it - 2 blocks for a 130k big guy.... I´m impressed... or not...

A moment of humour
Q. Why are minotaurs now jealous of the beastmen?
A. Beastmen do not have to roll 4+ to use their horns to hit someone!

Chaos (me) vs. Chaos (mino)
Mino SI my Ogre on turn 2 (after a succesfull blitz)
Turn 4 Mino is down, was unable to stand up for 3 rounds
Round 7 was able to move
Round 8 failed move
Chaos Dwarf vs. Chaos (mino)
My troll outperformed the mino on the whole line. I always blitzed it with my troll not following up if I was not able to bring him down.
Mino Blocked once on the 2nd Half, where he was reciving kick off, same procedure after this like the first half...
I would disband my mino/ratogre since you cant use them in any usefull way anymore. They turned the WA into a even more useless troll that is more expansive due the high movement (that is wasted)

I've played 6 games with my CD team, with a Mino all from the start. He's mostly been doing a good job in tying up opponents, and occasionally knocking some of them out. He never got a single cas - but that has really been bad luck, because of Frenzy and no TS he's probably done as many blocks as a Troll would have done. And the match where he actually got a cas or two was canceled...
You really have to make sure you don't pit him against other BGs or Dauntless players - or any combination that'll take him down. This has a lot of consequences. Always use your Frenzy blocks to get away from the opponents, for example. Another consequence is that he's very useful against some teams, and merely a distraction to others.
On defense, the Mino isn't worth much. Don't put him up on the LOS if he can be knocked down. I put him at the back in the middle, protected from blitzes, and the hope for a 4+. It really isn't that far fetched to get him to a good position, and by putting him in the middle he'll hopefully get in the way of people even if he won't move...
On offence, he's perfect to tie up a few players and get the occasional KO/Cas. But - he's not going to win games for you. Think of him like a treeman on a WE team.
2D-blocks against works wonders against a WA. Either you push him away, where he'll have to do a 4+ to move, or you go down - possibly giving him a 4+ to move anyway...
I suspect that once he gets block and I have a bunch of CDs with Guard, he'll be able to do well in the middle of a brawl.
I'd say a Mino on a CD team is slightly worse than a troll and a lot more difficult to play. On the other hand, he's a lot of fun. Frenzy always is!

I haven't played with wild animal after the rules review, but beforehand I would say that the new rule are a great upgrade.
Sure the 4+ when wanting to move, blitz, hand-off, etc. sucks, but it is far better than before, when you had to move first, had to block, and couldn't use assists.
In my opinion Wild Animal is now a negative skill on line with the others. Is can be a problem, but played right you can get as much from these big guys as from any other. Of course this depends on how you play the game. Generelly I use the big guy to punch a hole on the LOS (offence) and then not much else.
However the new skill present the biggest problem on defence. If you place him on the LOS, he will be knocked down, and probably won't get up for the rest of the drive. If he's placed downfield, he probably won't move at all for the entire drive. Solution: Don't field him.
Again this depends on how you play the game. In the league I play in big guys have one job on defence and that is securing fewer casualties on the LOS and wild animal with their AV8 can't do that anyway. So the only reason I would field a wild animal on defence is in the off chance that I get a blitz on the kick off table and how often does that happen
Anyways - like I started saying. Haven't fielded one with the rules review yet, but cant wait to field my ST6 Rat Ogre. Now he will be able to knock down that treeman on the LOS.

Posted this elsewhere, but worth repeating here. Tried some Skavs last Sunday in a mini 12 player 3 game 1 day tourney just to see how the RO went in practice.
During the 3 games, the RO missed his turn through a failed WA roll on 6 occasions from 11 rolls he had to make, including 2 when he failed to get up.
Games were against Lizards (after which he gained Block), Humans and Pro Elves. (No opposing BGs though).
He only picked up 2 cas. but got a lot of knockdowns and KOs. (In fact one of the occasions he got isolated was after knocking out two human linemen in consecutive turns. Whoops no opponents! ). I declared a blitz (and failed) once during the 3 games.
Played a friendly against Venomous Breath this week too. I tried Lizzies and Sime took CDs with a Mino. 1,100K, no skills. Mino was KO'd first half, but came back, was in TZs most of the half and BH the Krox (after a little dancing). I went down 2-1 in the end.
So 4 and 0 in the favour of the team with the WA to date in the games I've played.

Woodelves (me) Tr 170, against Skaven (TR a bit lower) Rat Ogre with Block and RSC
One Kick-off I rolled Quick Snap, so I could move all my elves on the LOS away from the RO. Another Kick-off, I rolled perfect defense, so I could avoid his RO again.
I was planning to freeboot a wizard to blow up the RO, but with the new rules I didn;t even bother.
