Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

Team Specific Big Guys

Post by rabidroadkill »

Has any serious discussion ever been brought up about this? I have seen the topics about Snow Trolls for Norse etc..., but has this ever really been discussed? It would add a lot of flavor to the game and get rid of some of the "genericness" of, say the Ogre being on so many teams (okay this is kind of mute now that it is down to 3 teams, but our league is letting them keep them if they already had them).

It would take some doing, but I'm sure a legitimate big guy could be brought up for each team. Sure some teams might have Troll Big Guys, but they could be slightly different for each race. Make a troll for the Goblins with Pass, it would be fun to see the little Gobos flying all over the place. Make a Steam Golem for the Dwarves (I tried to convince my brother to use a Steam Golem fig for his ogre just for fun). An Ice Troll or Werebear for the Norse, etc...

It could be fun, and would take a little of the blandness out of the big guys.

It has been discussed before, but many were of the opinion that making a BG for every team wasn't needed or an improvement to the game, many felt that less BGs were better (hence we get the BBRC decision to scale back the ogre access).

There's a difference between TTM and Pass. TTM let's you pass players with stunty. Pass let's reroll a failed pass roll. I think this is what he was trying to get at.

I figured he just meant launching the grubby little gobbos, not passing them successfully... :D
