I'd never bother taking Sprint on a WE Catcher or Gutter Runner as a 1st skill.
If you get +MA as the 1st skill great - take sprint next. However over your next 2 or 3 skills the chances of getting +MA aren't that fantastic.
In both cases Block is a more versatile skill. It allow you to survive the inevitable blitzes on offense. Both teams have low Av so your GR's and catchers often have to play on defence. Block/Dodge players are far more useful then, than Sprint.

Depending on the make up of your team, ie how many re-rolls you have and how many positional players you have, pro can be a good first choice for your wardancer, as he may end up being your go to man when things are bad. This means he will have better chances at picking up the ball, throwing the ball, catching the ball, going for it etc.
If you already have catchers, throwers etc, this becomes less useful of course, but since in most starting wood elf teams you will be short on both re-rolls and positional players, pro can be a real life saver. From what I have read on the boards, the conventional wisdom is usually tackle or strip ball for the wardancer, but I think when taken in the context of the team, pro can be more useful in more situations than either of these skills.
