Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
for a while my DE were great as I had 3 +AV Elves (av9 elves are quite nice ) then it all went downhill problem with my team was i kept rolling doubles
they are on the back burner until I get bored of one of my other teams or new season starts then its time to get rid of some of those stat gimps
Im thinking about alternating linos between blodge and wrestle/fend, im not sure how useful my Block/Wrestle Blitzer is... I had hoped to get him wrestle and tackle
I doubt I'd get rid of the Blodge, -1AG guy. He's good on the line and he still has a better chance of dodging out to where he's needed than a rookie Elf.
I'd keep the Assassin too. He's going to be a magnet for guys gunning for him. Just run him around and watch 2 guys follow him like iron when you run a magnet under the paper.
Me? AV8 is good enough. I'd have had a MV8 Blitzer and 2 MV7 Linemen though an AV9 line is terribly tempting. You probably called those right. I just, almost, always take speed over durability. I want to squirt out and away or get to where I'm needed and that extra square is bigger than it loooks; to me anyway.

RedVenom,
So you defeated my Skaven. I'm looking forward to the end of our Premier League season, so I can unleash my Orc horde on your Dark Elfs. Let us see how they handle a REAL strength team...
My strategy will be very simple: Take out one Dark Elf a turn. This way by the end of each half, my boys should be able to get the ball and run in a comfortable TD. Game won 2 - 0 by the Orcs.

Nobody likes you
Everybody hates you
You're gonna lose
Skaven forever !
i think Jump Up should be the next skill for the Assasain. That way they can use their stab skill without taking up your Blitz for the turn.
I'm a little reluctant to get wrestle/fend on my LOS, because my favorite tatic is to put my assasain 1 line back - so they get a stab Vs anyone that follows up a LOS attack.
This is my team DE team so far (sorry to steal thread!)
WElf - Block
Blitzer - Dauntless
Blitzer - Dodge, Sidestep
Blitzer - +1MA
Lineelf - Kick
Lineelf - Dodge
Lineelf - Dodge
Lineelf - -1MA
Lineelf -
Lineelf -
Runner - Pass
Assasain
2 x ReRolls
1 X Apoc, no other support staff
I have played 6 won 4 lost 2, Winning the last 4.
Perhaps you guys can help me though, currently I have 130k, Should I get the last Blitzer, WitchElf, Assasain, Lino, Runner? or another RR. (Its worth noting I'm missing a player for the next game)
Cheers

Reason:''
Spike Cup Reading 07 -- Runner Up, DE's. Damn you Lycos!
Conflict south 07 - Winner, Dark Elves.
Brighton BB league runner up 07 - DE's.
Brighton BB league runner up 06 - Dwarves
If your opponents are veteran players, I'd go for the third Re-Roll. Otherwise those coaches will create some precarious situations, forcing you to make many die rolls. If you think you can still beat them with only 2 RR's, I'd take the blitzer, too.
I'm playing a LRB 5.0 dark elf team, and I tried an experimental skill development for my Runners:
Runner #1: Nerves of Steel, Pass, Kick-off Return
Runner #2: Nerves of Steel, Catch, Dodge
So far, it did work pretty well. Do some cage work, and most opponents don't even try to blitz Runner #1, because he'll use the Dump-off/Nerves of steel combo and pass to Runner #2. This will allow you some time control, because you can delay your TD by one round without risking to loose the ball. Even those Strip Ball/Wrestle players won't help your opponent. Kick-off Return is your friend against those fast running Skaven/Wood Elf teams with kick.
If possible, use those Runners for offence only. You don't need any AV7 players without Block/Dodge while on defence.
those are GREAT! runners you've developed there. Make sure runner 2 is handing off the ball to players that need TDs or he's likely to need another skill soon. LOL!

Snew was that sarcasm? Seriously I could do not know.

If at first one doesn't succeed, and doesn't try again, then he will never succeed.
