Well, humans can be pretty bashy when they want to be.

All human league? That's really strange. Do you allow big guys?

Do you mean a pub league?

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Does that even work? AG3 is not AG4. I mean I fail too many dodges with AG4 I wouldn't like trying a stand off defence with an AG3 team.

As Dark Lord said, I don't think you'd ever get that team to work at the ECBBL - too many tackle happy coaches make human catcher go pop.

Too few RR IMHO, that's why I cut 2 blitzers or others cut down the ogre.

You may be right, in my experience having two catchers helps, you have more diversity in bringing the game to the opponent's side. But since it is the most-likely-to-be-killed player (MLTBK), it might not be a bad idea to buy him after 2 or 3 games and try to inflict the highest damage possible on opposing teams using the fact that they don't have an apothecary yet. And what's more, the ogre would probably earn a few SPPs and could pose a difference later, when the other teams are just buying their big guys. It depends on the opponent and your preferred type of play whether this line-up or the one with two catchers has more chances to win.

What about that? :?:

You're obviously right, and RRs later are pretty expensive, but there are certain points in my previous post.

And it's not necessary to drop 2 blitzers, you could throw in 1 lineman instead of one blitzer and lower the FF by 1 to gain one more RR.

I'm quite happy to play Humans with one catcher for their first 10 games or so. I'm never entirely happy with having two strength 2 players on the pitch at the same time, and I run a bashy human team. Blitzers are fast enough to punch it in the EZ when they have the added reroll for ball handling.

There are a lot of valid ways to play humans, though. It's hard to go wrong with a team that is this versatile.

But yes, lowering FF to 7 is stretching a bit. I think your line-up is really the best for a start and I will definitely try it out in our next season (starting in about two weeks).

The other teams known to-date to join this season are skaven, dwarfs, goblins, undead and orcs.

BTW, does anyone know whether ogres have been produced as part of the BB renaissance? Up to time, I have seen only Orcs, Human, Skaven, Khemri, Undead, High Elves and Dwarfs for purchase (including star players and booster blisters). From the schedule that I know from the seller the next should be Dark Elves, Chaos and Chaos Dwarfs. Anyone heard of Wood Elves, Goblins, Halflings or the Big Guys?

Um, yeah. There's a whole Ogre team that came out not too long ago. You can pick up the individual models off the GW website.

I'll post a link in a minute.

If you need only one ogre, Morg 'n Torg is also fine

You are right you have a lot of possibilities to play humans. Sometimes I like this starting roster:
4 blitzers
2 catchers
1 thrower
4 linemen
3 RR
8 FF
But I also started with this:
4 blitzers
2 Catchers
1 Thrower
1 Ogre
3 Linemen
6 FF
2 RR

There you have the bashy-power of the blitzers and the ogre and the ability to do a fast game with your catchers. A solid FF (not to low) and 2 RR.
