Side Step clarification
Hi Guys,
With Side Step, the coach of the player pushed back can choose which square he is pushed back into.
Say there are only 2 adjacent empty squares but one of those has the ball in
it ---- can the coach of the player with Side Step choose to be pushed back into the square with the ball or is he forced into the "empty" square?

Ball does not count towards wheter a square is empty or not, so yes, he be pushed into the square with the ball.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

If is just a pushback arrow, I think he has the option to try and pick it up, does he not? So if it just a Pushback and he is adjacent to the ball you could be worse off.SBG wrote:And the ball would then bounce.

Players pushed into a square where the ball is cause it to scatter.
No pick up allowed

You are correct.

and instead it will bounce one square. This does not
cause a turnover. See Bouncing Balls on page 14.
