I was a bit fast to reply, my argument was a bit low-aimed (under the belt, some might say).

But when you say:

Do you realize that without Nuffle (Hailed be Thy Name

there wouldn't be any BB in the first place ?

I'm not personnaly against humorous blasphemy, but I do hope that your followers won't be behaving like this in public real life (replacing Nuffle -Whose Hand makes and unmakes - with Jesus or Allah)

But anyway, that is not the point ! Hail Mary means nothing to my players ! They hardly understand the concept of playing the ball, never mind trying to remember strategies that involve such enigmatic names ! (I'm talking gobs) If I could tell the thrower he could train for a Hail Nuffle Pass, I'm sure he would get the picture. Mary means nothing to him (well, except that's the name of the last halfling cheerleader he ate on toast)

Seriously, the real reason is that, for me, "real" religion matters should be kept in the private sphere, that is, not "pop up" in the middle of a game like BB when there is absolutely no need.

Maybe that would need to develop a little bit more the background of BB, but choosing the name of a warhammer god (not just you-know-who) would make much more sense.

This is it, I think, unless I make my mind to post a poll somewhere around here.

Nice try to get someone else in your cause, Skummy, but I doubt he will fall for it. The fact that you're the only one still hanging on to this Reformed Church of Nuffle thing says alot about it (ie, it sucks, just like Nuffle!). BTW, according to BB fluff, there is an othradox religion for worshipping Nuffle, so you are an even bigger heretic with your "Reformed" church. Hope you sleep well tonight as the Inquisitioners come to get you.

of course it won't ever be officially changed, but i see their point. now if that earns me 'nba' flames then so be it...i could honestly care less.
