I think alot of people hate it, but not because of the rule in itself.Balrog wrote:Do that many people really hate the FF 1/6 rule? I don't find it that bad.

I, for instance, tend to win at least 3 out of 4 games I play, but my fan factor never does seem to increase.
I might win 3 in 4 games, but after those 4 games, my fan factor usually stays the same as befor those 4 games.
-sigh-
and when this happens, it is a chore, because your fan factor doesn't increase, and you can't make enough money to compensate for your high TR.

No he has to Block the Player, although he can still declare a blitz and move on after if the opposing player is knocked down, otherwise Frenzy mean s he has to take the second block.Mr-Klipp wrote:-Can a standing Wild Animal adjacent to a player declare a Blitz action, dodge away, and then come back and hit the player he started adjacent to?
Perhaps add to this question a bit. If the answer is yes, then what happens if the WA player fails the dodge but has stand firm?
Plus why the hell would he want to do that anyway?? and this isn't the right thread for questions

Uh ... McDeth ... see uh ... that's one of the items already on the Hot List. And the reason its there is because some people (like me) ... don't agree with the ruling that you suggested above. I would say you can declare a blitz ... dodge away ... and then come back to block the player. Nothing in the rule said it had to be immediate, just that you need to block him and you did. If you have stand firm and fail the dodge, you wasted your blitz action for the turn.McDeth wrote:No he has to Block the Player, although he can still declare a blitz and move on after if the opposing player is knocked down, otherwise Frenzy mean s he has to take the second block.Mr-Klipp wrote:-Can a standing Wild Animal adjacent to a player declare a Blitz action, dodge away, and then come back and hit the player he started adjacent to?

So that he could get his Horns bonus or so that he could maneuver to get a 2 or 3 dice hit on the opponent or so that Frenzy wouldn't suck him into a bad 2nd hit.McDeth wrote:Plus why the hell would he want to do that anyway?? and this isn't the right thread for questions
But like you said this isn't the right thread for a debate ... but its why its on the Hot List.

Re-assess the winnings for the 'Big 4' Trophies, they're pretty obscene in the LRB environment.
Ok, maybe this is more for commishes/house ruling, but otherwise you will get small leagues playing short seasons for big prize money, particularly now the trophy minis are out. A lot of newbs will naturally play 'as per LRB'.
Just seems odd to have the full 3e amounts still in place in light of revised winnings tables and all the other stuff in the current edition aimed at keeping TR bloat down.

I know the Hot List is getting Big when DW misses stuff on it ...Deathwing wrote:Re-assess the winnings for the 'Big 4' Trophies, they're pretty obscene in the LRB environment.

Down near the bottom DW:
GalakDo the old 3rd edition money awards for the "major trophies" still make sense with the new LRB rules?

See, that's why I'd like to see this specific question asked. Looking at it that way would mean that standfirm effectivly counters the wild animal penalties with no more worries than potentially losing your blitz action.GalakStarscraper wrote:If you have stand firm and fail the dodge, you wasted your blitz action for the turn.

Interesting side note ... one of the BBRC's members leagues has the following rule for Wild Animal:Mr-Klipp wrote:See, that's why I'd like to see this specific question asked. 1) Always Go First
2) Player doesn't get assists for blocking or fouling. The player also never gives assists to other players blocking or fouling and does not prevent any opposing assists from opponents.
Effective #2 means that the player is treated as if he isn't there for all blocking and fouling.
This would solve a lot of problems with the rules questions and would stop Marcus's issue of playing the WA instead of the ball. By the way ... haven't seen Marcus of late.

Could you add to the list the discussion about a WA standing adjacent to a Ball and Chain Gobbo and further nobody. Does he have to make a blitz action against an other player since he can't block the Ball and Chain Gobbo, but is adjacent to him. There is a thread about this topic somewhere out there

Correct.Mestari wrote:Does that mean doesn't get assists both for and against?
I think their wording of Wild Animal is like this:
Wild Animal
The player has a nasty tendency to get a bit carried away
during a match. Wild Animals must take their actions first of
all during a turn (they must be activated). If you take an action
with another player before activating all Wild Animals, then your
opponent can call you for illegal procedure exactly as if you
had forgotten to move the Turn marker. In addition, Wild Animals
can never receive assists when they Block or Foul, nor will they give
offensive or defensive assists in a Block or Foul, and finally they do
not prevent opponents from lending offensive or defensive assists in
a Block or Foul; they are simply too out of control to help other
players or for other players to help them out.
This one is going on the Hot List as its the simplest and best
recommendation I've seen to take care of the mess that is Wild Animal.
And its already got one BBRC vote anyway if its considered.

So in other words thats taking wild animal, which is really quite bad and difficult...
and making it a lot worse... unplayable in fact.
I mean - what is the point in a rat ogre - prehensile tail to tie up the opposition.... except that Wild animal means thats the last thing you want to do...
And now making it unable to cancel or give assists?
And the point is?
