It's a serious possability that when the BBRC meets in october that the current Unndead roster will be withdrawn
, to make way for the Necro, Khemri and (though unlkely) Vampire rosters.
So if you put the game off for 6 months you won't have to play them

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Try to bash everything away, and a real basher will come and put half your team in the dead & injured dugout box, and the other half will be knocked out.skaldrik wrote:How's Norse to play with? More like Elves or Humans or do they just bash everything away?
Norses are rather hard to play. Though they come with block all around (which is great, I agree with that), their AV 7 will make them lose any atrittion match. They lack skill rerolls (no surehands nor dodge on a starting team), and team rerolls are a bit overpriced.
Most people tend to think that norse blitzers are great, but their Frenzy will become a liability more often than not, until you learn how to juggle with pushbacks (something I'm still learning).
Talking about pushbacks... It is true that norses tend to block a lot, but when (note: when, not if) they go on 1D blocks, it is not to hurt the rival, but rather to keep themselves safe. Elves dodge at 2+... Norses do dodge too at 2+, but 'A la norse', that is, blocking the people to either knock them down or at least push them away, so the can't hurt them in their turn.

And, the undead... Well, the basics are simple: hurt the ghouls whenever you can, then the wights (to leave him without ballhandlers)... Try to stay clear of the mummies, or if you can't, try to hold them on their positions with longbeards, so it can't hit vunerable stuff (runners).
You could also try and get those dauntless slayers to pound the mummies down, but be sure to keep a guarding longbeard (if you have any) near, so the trollslayers get 2D your choice. But don't try to get the mummies when they're backed by those linefodder known as Zombies... They can make 3D mummy choice become rather common. If the mummies have piling on, forget to get them until you've got numerical advantage.
One thing: don't take this advice too seriously. I've never played dwarf against undead (though I've played a lot of undead teams with my norses) so my advice is mostly conjecture.

Against undead you so nead to kill some...
Your troll slayer is the best shot at the mummys and I found it worth taking. My starting dwarfs vs undead won 1-0 but only because on the last turn of the game my opponent forgot to move his turn marker as his ghoul headed in for a touch down.
He was
but my buck's night had started so I didn't want a 3rd half

Hi,
I used the tips againsts the undead, quite useful really
But he had so much luck, and killed my brand new 12th player, a Trollslayer "sob"
That means that in ONE game i wasted 90k
well at least i injured 3 of his badly, and the game went out 0-0
Cheers

Okay Skaldrik,
I understand that you now have to play against those pesky Lizards.
Defensive:
Personaly I set up one runner in one of he side fields (for that nice blitz) and the other exactly in the middle of my def. keep a blitzer nearby, and those two should be enough to bash that ball handling skink. try to work a saurus of the pitch with your remaining slayer and make for the deep def.
Offensive:
Runner in the middle (not in scrimage, but six behind, as in def.) blitzer left, blitzer right, trollslayer in scrimage two from the side supprted by two LB. runner behind the slayer and makea corner-cage.
Just remember that those skinks are only strength 2, they are so whimpy. (three dwarves means three die)
Overall tips:
Give your LB Guard asap, your runners block and your blitzers/slayer tackle
furtermore read the tips on the following site, the dwarf-section
http://www.midgardbb.com/Tactics/BBTactics.html
Good luck, and my dwarves will call a minute of silence for your slayer next match (after which we'll slay that irritating bull centaur out of revenge)

nothing to add to the tactics section but someone wanted to know how to put the accent mark over the e, eg. é.
I do it by holding down the alt key and pressing 130 on the numberpad (you must use the numberpad not the numbers on top of the letter keys)
You can do most accented letters in this fashion if you know the ascii character set. (I have no idea how macs work and I doubt this will work for them)
Try the number range 128-169 for other accented letters.
