Wizard - size of fireball template
OK, first off, we cannot buy the Bloodbowl boxed set in Australia from GW,
its just not available & I am not going to buy it from O/S just for the Block dice & the "coin" template.
But there is some semi-heated discussion in our league about whether it covers 9 squares or something less:
FFF
FFF
FFF
or
FF

or
F
FFF
F
9 squares seems too powerful, but I cant see how it can be anything else.

It's 9 squares. The rule book makes, again, a good job in confusing the reader as they begin to talk of the template and then end up indicating in a non-clear manner that it's just 9 squares anyway.
"The target square and any square adjacent to it" = 9 squares.
I guess the whole template rubbish comes from the fact that in 3rd ed. you had a fireball-shaped template and after getting rid of that they just edited the text instead of writing it new from scratch (like so many other parts of the rule book)

actually sangraal... if you wanted bloodbowl in australia I would try Mind Games in Melbourne or Military Simulations in Moorabbin (suburb of Melbourne). Both have mail order service and I know Military Sims has a website you can order from. They also have most of the new bloodbowl figures (at a HUGE price though).

I must admit I put that in my post so people wouldnt tell me to go out &
buy the boxed set to find out the size of the template. (which sort of happened when I asked about the exact size of the Pass ruler).
I've spent over AUS $5000 on GW stuff over the past 5 years but I didnt want to spend $120 on the set, just for the templates & the Block dice. All of my teams (well except the shadowforge bunnies) are made from WHFB
or 40k minis.
