yeah, I'd go for catch. If he lives long enough for a second skill, things will get more interesting.

8) Damn, it's hot out here. Prey for some cooler weather for the tournament in Mannheim. We got 36 °C today and no hope for rain. Makes working real fun.

Just pmailed Tim, he should check for the next swimming pool and do some research, how to make the gameboards floatable...

No AC here in the building... lucky , my room at north side... no direct sunshine.

When you will arrive at Mannheim ? I will be there about 19.00- 19.30 at Friday.

i just work for a high tech company, so no a/c.

The rivers Neckar ánd Rhein are close by, couple of lakes and pools as well.

1900 sounds good to me. If it is too hot, we'll play in my car ... 8)

Don't go too early otherwise i'll not be home when you arrive :)
(game night at my place).

And it's 37,4°C here ... only way to stand this was by snatching the fan from your office, Arkan :)

Okay, according to the official measurement, mannheim held the German record yesterday with 38,9 °C. We are "hoping" to crack the 40 °C this week.

Anyone know how to do a rain dance?

(game night at my place)
... as Tim wrote yesterday.

And , how was it ? Tim wrote, his room is bunkerlike one, halfway under ground... so it bit cooler ?

Seems to be a hot day today, too. And no raindancers around here.

Nope, none here either.

At Tim's we kind of decided to stay in one of the above ground areas, which put it at cozy 30+ degrees and we were sweating like pigs.

This weather, 60+ coaches, it'll smell like a cougar cage as we say ... That might add a different flavour to the games. If you faint, you automatically lose the game ... Lots of water or other fluids, hope there is lots of restrooms too ..... 8)

Ah it's going to be a fun weekend ...

Which reminds me ... the tournament location has an underground room as well (and a freeze room for the beer 8) ).

So depending on the weather, we can put the tables 1-5 downstairs :)

hmm ... this thread has drifted a long way again ...

just a very short report of my last game... maybe i will find some time 2nite for another one with some picts.

I was allowed to reroll one of my BOs injury. Uff, so at last 2 BOs for this game!

Well, i played against a Norseteam and lost 3:1... casualities 0:3... argh... just rolled six all the time, flatting those 3 Norse Blitzers, but with damm " jump up" ... they just kept coming... and running, too !!! I couldnt keep them on the ground !! :( At last 2 KO ... but he got 2 in reserve, too ...

Lots of bad dices against me... p.e. two times, while recieving, " perfect defence " :o ... more details later.

Well, at last i remember my Apo this time... got a dead LineOrc... and used him this time ! Yes, sometimes even i can learn... :smoking:

Hm, one of my BOs got a skill.... " Block" for him for sure.
My gobbo got " catch " as the skill of the last game... and he used it well as he scored the TD
My thrower got a double ... so a trait or a good skill for him. Dont knew yet which one ? Any advices ?

The teams i have to play against next are a Ogre team ( 7 ogres, i heard :o )and a Skaventeam.

Best part of the last game... i got a lot money !!
I got this handicap roll #46 " News feature". Hm, thats 2D6 + modifiers or 2D6 AND 1D6 + modifieres ? I think, its the first one, or ?
If yes, i got now, with savings of the last game, 190k to spent.
A ogre ( my first BigGuy  ) ? a Troll and a blitzer ? 2 blitzers ? 1 blitzer and 1 BO ? Hm, any suggestions ?

Hey, although you lost that game it was the best game that can happen.
Block on the BOB is just perfect. Now you can use him :D
For the thrower: With a double it´s definately strong arm! With the next normal skill acurate he is better than every elven thrower and throws the long bomb with 75%!
I´d go for 1 blitzer and 1 BO, because you need the BO´s as fast as possible to get block on them.
