Pitfighter Bloodbowl Team
Hi all, i'm currently working on the stats for a pitfighter bloodbowl team, with models used from Mordheim. I was thinking of having trollslayer dwarfs, and then pitfighters and an ogre as a big guy. The empasis I thought eould be ideal for the pitfighters would be the fact they'd want to fight, rather than score goals, and so there agility would be low, but I was considering adding frenzy for the basic players, either fighters or the dwarf to show this skill.

Well there are already plenty of teams who want to fight, not score!
Probably best you have a look at similar teams. Orcs etc. Trollslayers could be taken direct from the Dwarf team (and they start with frenzy). Pitfighters would probably just be human lineman. Maybe give them access to strength skills, or start with a strength skill?
Frenzy is a dangerous skill. Probably not best for all your players!

Actually, thinking about it, pitfighters will just want to please the crowd. They will be happy to do it anyway, so in theory they should be just as happy to score. So really I need a team similar to the lizardmen, with perhaps a little less running speed.
In fact they don;t actually have to juyst be human, how about something like the following:
Norse Lineman
Human Thrower
Human Catcher
Or something to that effect.

d) No player with ST 4 should have either Block or Dodge.
e) No player with ST 5 should have either Block or any Agility based skill.
f) The number of players on the team starting with both Block and Dodge should not exceed 4.
g) Normal players should never have a negative trait.
h) No more than two ST 4 players should have Frenzy on a team. Non Big Guy ST 5 players should not have Frenzy.

I started discussing this somewhere in my "early" days, but didn't get very far.
IIRC I thought of having 0-2 Troll Slayers, 0-2 catcher types (the lightly armoured guys whose name escapes me), but more shadowing/tackle than catch, 0-4 blitzer types (pit king fig) and an Ogre.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I like the concept of everyone having frenzy. why not stick with that?
