I don't know what to call these guys

someone mentioned the idea of a team where every one had frenzy... and I thought this up in 5 minutes, let me know what you all think

0-12 Linemen 6 3 3 8 Frenzy 60k G
0-4 Blitzers 6 3 3 8 Block, Frenzy, Guard 100k GS
0-2 Catchers 6 3 3 8 Frenzy, Catch 80k GA
0-2 Throwers 6 3 3 8 Frenzy, Pass 70k GP

Big Guy: 5 6 1 9 Wild Animal, Frenzy, Mighty Blow 120 GS

maybe the big guy is a little over the top with 6 strength... but it can always be changed...

Maybe it's just me, but Block, Frenzy AND Guard seems a little over the top for starting. I would make sure to take all four of these guys, and then place them so that there are always two right next to each other. Always two dice blocks with the block skill. True, if you push back, the first guy has to follow up, but so what? The fact that I can start with this possibility on a TR100 team seems to powerful to me.

Any team I play I start as many blitzers as I am allowed, with this team it is actually a little harded to do because they are so expensive...

4 blitzers: 400k
7 linemen: 420k
2 rerolls: 120k (give or take)
6 fan factor
no apoth...
I wouldn't call that a great starting team

It's not to different from what I start with on a Dwarf team.

It's not as bad as you might think. I think a lot of people underestimate Frenzy as a skill. It gives you a free extra hit on an opponent, usually a 1 die hit. you have the entire line of this team with frenzy. Plus 4 of 11 players have block and guard. Might be a better team than you think.

Of course, I may be over reacting. ;) Someone should play test this team, see how it does.

could you take a look at the chaos team I posted? That's much more of an original idea and I want to see what people think about that one... unfortunately no one has responded yet

Yeah, just imagine if you gave them another trait instead... something that works great on a blitzer but they couldn't normally get! That would be even sicker! So, to balance it out, maybe lose a point of AV and make them a little cheaper so that Chris can have 4 of them...

There you go:

Blitzer: 6 3 3 7 (Gen, Str) Block, Frenzy, Jump Up (90k)

... wait a second...

{Sorry, just being silly today.}

The MBBL2 rule set has had an all Frenzy team for 2 years.

Current teams playing in leagues with this team:

The Crunchies with a 5 win - 4 loss record ... TR 155

Burning Wrath with a 3 win - 2 loss record .... TR 144

I still play mostly 3rd ed.
I don't think that team would work for me...
I also had the impression that Gaurd on starting players was generaly frowned on and more "team oriented" than a frenzying blitzer should be. Maybe jump up WOULD be better?

Team concept: CRACKHEADS

just add new trait: Coming Down, at the end of each half and after each TD, all players on the pitch must roll 2+ or be forced to spend the next drive in the dugout piping up.
