And with good reason. I really don't want to go back to the days of Mummies with Jump Up. Couple that with Piling On and you really have a brutal combination.

So we've got two skills that needed to be changed dramatically because it was being abused by the Mummies. Hmmmm...maybe the Mummy needs to be one that is adjusted.

Same could be said for rookie big guys back when Jump-Up was not a trait. So I don't think the "abuse" was exclusive to Mummies.

But rookie Big Guys have their drawbacks in the form of Negative Traits. Some worse than others of course, but the Mummies have nothing. ST 5 and Mighty Blow to start, and you can get multiples of them on their respective teams. That, to me, seems to be the problem.

To Clarify: a Big Guy with Piling On on each team is devastating, but multiple mummies with Piling On and with no negative trait to slow them down, is even more of a problem. I agree that Piling On must be dealt with in one way or another. But maybe they should look at toning down mummies a little bit.

And after Piling On is changed, have no fears. The power gamers will find another skill to exploit into oblivion....

Which, in my opinion, means it is not really "broken". No matter how many skills/traits/rules/players get toned down there will always be 1 or 2 strong strategies that players will "exploit" over and over again. For extreme bashing teams, it's ST 5 players + piling. For extreme speed teams its one-turn scorers.

Bottom line, the game would be a lot less fun for me if everyone had nothing but inept hobgoblins on their team. Developed bashing teams will predominantly be able to produce a high Casualty count. Developed speed teams will predominantly run the score board up. I personally wouldn't want it any other way. But that's just me :smoking:

Oh I agree, it was more of a comment on the "quality" of the average Blood Bowl coach :)

I think right now, it's a pretty solid rule set that Blood Bowlers have to work with. Plenty of choices for either side.
