Automatic failure / success with AV rolls?

Post by Grimwald »

I tried to search the forum but found nothing specifically for this topic. So, my question is: Does a die roll of 1 & 1 mean automatic failure (ie. no injury) of AV roll and 6 & 6 automatic success (ie. injury) for AV rolls, no matter what the modifiers are?

Thanks in advance!

No, the 1 and 6 rule doesn't apply to Armor/injury roll.
But with 12 the chances of passing the armor are high and with a 2, they are low

The only instance I can think of a twelve failing is in a fouling situation where the defender has a number of assists.

Some coaches want a specific player caught fouling. Like Thrud for instance (to prevent him from switching sides). Not that I advocate such behavior mind you

Well, in my opinion there's nothing wrong with doing this.. after all, the controlling coach probably knows of the double-crossing git's behaviour (whatever the reason for it) so he'd love to have him banned...

on a similar note, there was also the old special play card "duh where am I", in which you took control of your opponents player for the rest of a drive. so naturally, you'd use that player to foul the other guy (aka his OWN TEAM) until he was ejected. :)
