Old StarPlayers

Post by Orin »

What Starplayers can you use officially? Just the ones in the LRB and more recent issues of the BB Mag, because I was browsing through the old Compendiums 1 and 2, and there are a lot of very nice starplayers there as well.

I especially love Hoshi Komi (nice mini) and GearGrinder, the CybORC (Whose just crying to be put in my Chaos Dwarf team!)

We use loads of different ones in our league, a mixture of the LRB, old Stars, and ones we have created in years of playing.

As long as your league knows which ones you are using there is no problem.

I found a huge, huge(!) list of starPlayers friends of mine used in a league 2 years ago.

A Tree with Jump up? A halfling with Mighty Blow, Thick Skull and Block (If you want a dwarf in your team, why not just play with dwarfs?)

That's just crazy.

My league still uses 3rd edition, and we have a big list of Star Players, but nothing like that.

And we certainly have been careful when creating original players for our league, whether they be stars or new types of rookies.

If it were up to me, I'd drop Star Players altogether. But the boyz in my league like 'em. Over the years, I've come to see them as something that takes away from player development.

And it's an arms race. My human team has Griff... so the other guy has to get Griff to balance it out. On it goes.
