New Trait - Relentless Assault
I though about a new skill, while looking at my dices.. well, looking at my dices is alway a mistake, because you get sick of all those skulls, so I came up with this Idea:
Relentless Assault - Strenght or General Trait
A player with this Trait is trained to get the enemy down at all cost. If as a result of a block, a skull is rolled, BOTH players go down. However, as the player doesn´t really care about his health, make an injury roll straight away.

I'm not really sure I like this, as it could easily be horribly exploited.. I mean, a Halfling blocking an Ogre all of a sudden has a great chance of knocking him over? And with his AV a straight injury roll is sort of of no consequence! Just a quick question though: As it is a Trait, and HAS to be used. Does this mean that if you roll 2 dice, your choice, and roll a Clearhead and a Skull, you go down anyway?? (It didn't say if you use the skull on the block dice, just that if a skull is rolled..)

That´s why it should be a general trait or a strenght trait. This way it´s not available to stunties. It´s similar to dauntless.
Having to use it always adds alot of fun, but I would say that you are allowed to do an armorroll. So there are 2 possible versions:
1) Use it if you like, but then straight injury roll.
2) Whenever a skull shows up, you have to chose it, but you can alway make an armorroll (modified??), too.

If I rolled doubles on an Ork Blitzer or Black Ork and was able to choose say, dodge or stand firm or any skill this is the last trait/ skill I would choose, I mean I might be on my own here but I would never use this especialy seeing as this would cause a turn over for my team. Sorry I don't see this as a viable skill let alone a trait. S.

I think you are looking at it all wrong. This would be a great General trait to give to a Suicidal Linerat, Linelf, or Norseman.Blammaham wrote:If I rolled doubles on an Ork Blitzer or Black Ork and was able to choose say, dodge or stand firm or any skill this is the last trait/ skill I would choose, I mean I might be on my own here but I would never use this especialy seeing as this would cause a turn over for my team. You can take a 2-die against block, sacrafice your player, but manage to take down that big guy. It would also be interesting to see the defending coach's decision, on a defenders choice block. Does he force his opponent to take a turnover, injury roll, and let his Big guy, or str 4 ball carrier go down? or does he allow a Linerat to push his players around, and continue his turn?
It would be a powerful combination with stripball making it an EXTREMELY interesting decision.

No. It changes the effect of a rolled skull. I would find it extremly useful to bring down those blodging ballcarrier at all cost. And yes, it´s extremly intresting at those defender-choose-blocks.BlanchPrez wrote:How would this work in relation to Block? Does it turn a skull into a both down result?

On the surface, without a lot of thought, I'd say it is too powerful. I'd be tempted to take this on most of my blitzers. Throw this on one with tackle and you have a great chance of sacking the ballcarrier if you can get to him.
I do like the idea of a secret weapon like this though, just for goblins. Reminds me of the MTG card Goblin Grenadiers. Funny stuff.

Well, you get his ballcarrier, but at the cost of an injuryroll AND a turnover.

I might be looking at this all wrong still, but I would take many other skills or traits for doubles over this trait. Granted I can see it being usefull in some situations I hate putting my guys on the ground for almost any reason. Just me but I think I'd rather a player who almost never falls over.S.

Totally agree with B. I for one would never take it coz of the turnover. Suicidal? Damn right you could lose a TD every time!

Hmm... and I thought it more as overpowered. How often wanted my Undead team a possibility, to get down those blodging elves at all cost.
Or a skaven team, sacifying a linerat to get down this piling on/RSC-Mino, chasing your fragile oneturner... if you use it as your last action, you couldn´t care less about the Turnover.
