Another problem is, that if you pass the ball first and than roll for interception, someone could use a reroll after seeing the passblocking AG5 elf, to fail his pass, so that it won´t be intercepted.
And you don´t want so see this, do you?

that and the thing with the wasted reroll make sense to me.
but it seems that this is probably the query which gets the most house-ruling of all.

Maybe a minor point, but if the pass roll is made before the intercept roll, an interceptor in the TZ of the thrower would make it difficult for himself twice. (a -1 to the pass so bigger chance to fumble the pass, and a -1 on the intercept)
So at least with the rules as they are, the interceptor only has the -1 of the thrower to deal with.

Don't see why that should happen - if you time the interception so that the roll is made after the pass - i.e. you can't reroll it by the time the interception attempt is made...

I think you missed the point. Say you'd forgotten about the AG5 Pass Block, catch interceptor and realised he is in a position to intercept the pass, you may decide to reroll to fumble.

Regardless ECBBL plays interceptions after the pass roll, and I really don't think it makes that much difference to the game. Okay when you've got players with a good chance of making an interception it can have an effect, but it just feels right.
