This makes completely sense in consideration of the fact that the whole rulebook is a patchwork-thing evolved out of numerous copy & paste actions. It was never written from start in a single coherent way. That's why details are scattered all over, some rules are contradictionary and some make no sense.Joaquim wrote:This just doesn't make sense!!

Oh ye of little faith
Found it! OK, so it wasn't that recently, it was april 5th. But still:
viewtopic.php?t=5504
It's on page 2 of this thread.
It basically states that the TTM rules only allow you to disregard a TO for failing a landing roll, and that a player collission and a fumble does not give you a landing roll.
So, back to square 1:
None of the TO rules state that a straight injury is a TO. But should it be?

Well... to me the biggest problem with Milo's arguments is the Allways Hungry....
Because THERE you don't get any landing roll, but isn't a TO, unless the ball is involved...
So, to me, until version 3 of LRB (or clarification from BBRC), a TTM can only provocate a TO with the ball... or a fumble....
By the way: being the Pass Action of the team it should be allowed to use all pass related skill (minus Hail Mary, I guess... or perhaps even this with a -2 mod to landing...
and +2 to AV/injury?!?)....
If one coach wants to spend all doubles of a Big in passing skills it's all right for me..!!...

Happy for house rules
We play that as long as the 'fling didn't have the ball no turn over happens, except for fumbled throw ofcource...
But then we have declared the 'only empy squares' rule stupid...
and thus 'flings are treated a ranged attack weapon...
It's THE one pass action, and it means that one treeman isn't blocking, and one halfling is about to get hurt, so it's definatly a high cost stratagy, but sometimes it's worth the cost... and in no way is it fool proff... I've had the little guys scatter off the field or just into to many tacklezones to land, and had them actually die, without even hitting the target... but it's not a TO.
then i did a two dice against blitz, actually got the ball, handed it off to the halfling with pass, only then remembering that i'd used the one pass to kill my 'fling, and was stuck in my own backfield, looking like a target...

Hi There!
Maybe, I do not understand, but for me, first there are two things:
-He throws the ball directly in the crowd (what for? Is he stupid?)
-He throws a player who scatters and lands into the crowd
The matter, for whether he has the ball or not, is irrevelant to me because:
-At the end, he ends up in the crowd whatever if he ends up directly or after landing (it is not the landing which is failed and thus the player is not knocked over as a result of a failed landing but because of the crowd), so an injury roll must be made which means that he was knocked over. The rule for a player on the moving team who has been knocked over applies, it is then officially a turnover. (or Am I wrong?)

The rules state that if a Pass is ends up going into the crowd, thrown back in, and caught by a team mate, then a turnover is avoided.
With that in mind, what if the Stunty is thrown off the pitch, the crowd throws the ball back in, and the ball is caught by a team mate. Does this mean the turn continues?
My vote is that it's only a turnover if the Stunty had the ball and the crowd throws it back in and it lands in an empty square or is caught by an opponent.

Three touchdowns in one game. I almost got the Al Bundy Trophy.
