Week 4 CD team report..

Post by MechD »

Hey guys,

Just finished up week four with my Chaos Dwarf team, so I thought I would go ahead and post a report for you guys :) I only got one game in this week, so that was a bit of a downer, but it proved..entertaining.. (have I mentioned yet the pure joy of a Dirty Player hobgoblin?)

Game 1: Vs Skaven

Ahh Skaven.. Gave him the ball first, he attempts to load one side of the field, fist fights begin to break out, ball is turn over about half way into the half, happy goblin grabs it and is off to the races (with much pummelling of enemy players). Managed to drag his rat ogre down, then sent in my lil gobbo, who promptly inflicted a serious injury...began dragging down the rest of his players..Mr. Dirty Player accounted for 1 SE Rat Ogre (miss nextgame), 1 SE Storm Vermin (-1M), 1 DEAD GUTTER RUNNER, 2 Badly Hurt Line rats. Then he got thrown out :( Only other injury of note was a badly hurt Gutter Runner, compliments of a CD blocker. Ended up winning the game 2-0, with two poor little line rats standind up at the beginning of his 8th turn, and him deciding that was all they were silly enough to do..

Team Changes..Got about 50K extra from the game. My Bull Centaur with just Block managed to pick up a skill and grabbed Break Tackle. One of my Hobgoblins got a TD, and I am SERIOUSLY thinking to grab a second Dirty Player stat, because..DAMN it rocks.. :D Other thoughts of note...Trolls sure do roll a lot of ones, but he was more useful that another Hobgobbo would have been... Hopefully next game will be better for him..:) Also, the Dwarf team that I am co sharing the league lead with finally made a stumble, pulling a draw against a brand new Norse team... :smoking: OH! and the handi cap table is just about worthless, he got an assasination (stunned a BC) and the "get 12 guys on the field once" to bad he only had 11 on his roster...

Later guys! its  time!

I have experienced the same thing - well, not quite as effectively. This is one incredible string of succesful fouling. BUT, on a side note - Hobgoblins make the best damn dirty players in the game. They're so good at it !

I'm curious though, what rules are you using when you foul ? This list of injuries from one Dirty player is just insane. Or maybe you're just using loaded dice

If you think you can spare the skill, go DP with your other hobgoblin as well. Remember one of anything becomes a target, and two DPs should keep those piling on players (which will show up if they haven't already) in control.

I couldn't agree more.

(not that my favoritism towards DP hobbos is any secret...)

Hey guys, thanks for your replies!

To answer your question Boss, the scary thing is that we are using the standard rules for fouling, and no, I wasn't using loaded dice. What was happening was that the skaven player had a niggler that refused to play (smart skaven) and so was down to ten guys to begin with. Then after I dropped his Rat Ogre down, I had the 3 CD blockers standing over the body along with a BC who was blitzing past. My HG waltzed over and fouled the day lights out of said rat ogre, and out he went. I then preceeded to knock out a couple line rats, so that happy little pack pretty much went from victim to victim as the other players on my team knocked them down. When I mentioned that on his last turn he stood two guys up..well thats all he had left on the field.. :D

As for what to do with the second HG that just skilled up, I think I will go ahead and give him Dirty Player as well. I have the +AG BC to handle ball carrying, and Dirty Player will help both the teams reputation (DON'T MESS WITH THE CHAOS DWARFS) and with anybody silly enough to let one of their star players lay down..(or pile on!)

Thanks again guys! It's always a pleasure! :)
