Which starting skill choice for wight?

Post by Urrgok »

What say you? Candidates are:

Strip ball.

Sure hands.

Tackle.

Also considering pro, but have got 3 trr as is, so...

Should also be said that I play in a league with very few 'dodge skill' teams...

depends on the league your in

if its got lots of agility based teams take tackle so you can hit the blodge players

though i also like a strip ball guy as it kinda forces them to keep the ball in the hands of a sure hands player, who usually then don't have block

Tackle unless there are NO agility teams and all the strength teams don't take dodge.

Strip ball is a great skill I rarely end up with. I try and get 2 Wights with Sure Hands, to compliment having only 2 Ghouls out there.

Never uses Sure hands on wights since you normally got 4 ghouls to carry the ball.

Strip ball is a great skill for a sweeper. means one a 1 die block you have a 5/6 chance of nabbing the ball. Sure Hands is a skill for ghouls. block/dodge/sure hands, best ball carrier you can get in the undead team.

If you are running 4 Ghouls, as Asmodan does, sure. But I like to have 4 Wights and 2 Ghouls out there with 2 Mummies and 3 Zombies on the line.

In my system the Wights do a fair amount of the ball possession, Sure hands then makes a lot of sense. I take dodge on the 2st dbls. "best ball carrier you can get in the undead team" has block/dodge/sure hands and regen.

There are a lot of systems that work, but I lose a lot less Ghouls then most Undead coaches I have spoken with.

The way I play it is Tackle all the way but its hard to know for sure without knowing how you play or the way your opponents play.S.

Well, I think I've settled for "strip ball", seeing as I won't get to play a lot of teams with "dodge" players - and when I do, the "dodge" will be on players who'll try and run the ball into my endzone, so I'll be more interested in getting the ball from them than "just" putting them down. So the wight will play more as a ball robber than a ball carrier.

In my necro team i got 1 tackle and 1 strip ball, then i went for pro. Pro has been beautiful for them.

I prefer Kick as first skill for first Wight. Wights tend to get more SPP:s than you need for them anyway. Then Tackle and Strip Ball.
