Next Skill for this Dragon Warrior?
Hi,
one of my team´s Dragon Warriors has 7 4 4 8 Block, Leap. Obviously he is the guy who blitzes those ballcarriers hiding in the cage.
His next lvl up is near, and I want to max out this tactic, but I am not sure if I should give him Tackle or Strip Ball.
Strip Ball:
chance of taking the ball is increased by 1/3, BUT
> apart from blitzing the ballcarrier there is no advantage
> most ball carriers have Sure Hands
Tackle:
chance of knocking down is only increased by 1/6 (if the ballcarrier has Dodge), BUT
> my Dragon Warrior with Tackle has more general offensive power on the field
And last but not least: what to do if rolling a Double?
Thanks for your comments...
Mo

It depends on how you see it. The chance is doubled for knocking a blodger over and increases 50% for knocking a dodger over.Tackle:

I'd go tackle on a normal roll and back him up with strip ball on a regular guy. Or take strip ball as his fourth (even though side step is nice for getting out of the cage once leapt into).
On a doubles, I'd take dauntless (for dealing with those chaos warrior ball-carriers and their likes), but as always it depends on the teams in your league.

I´d take frenzy on a double.
On a normal roll i would prefer strip ball for a cage breaker. Works great on my Dark Elf Blitzer too. But if most of the ball carriers in your league have sure hands than go for tackle.

He's already St4, so dauntless is a poor choice imo, wasting a double.Odium Khan wrote: On a doubles, I'd take dauntless (for dealing with those chaos warrior ball-carriers and their likes), but as always it depends on the teams in your league.
I'd go dodge on a regular skill. A 7448 Player is too valuable not to take any possibility to protect him. With dodge he can also be a kick ass ball carrier. Tackle would be the agressive variant, but expect him to gain a few niggles (or worse) soon, he's gonna be a target.
On doubles i'd go guard (hard to remove with ST4) or frenzy (also helps to bust the cages perfectly.

Dodge would be my choice. If he is still standing at the end of their turn you have a better chance of catching their ball carrier.
Also side step can be a good choice too but I prefer dodge on my DE's.
On a double(non stat) I would get jump up for those times you need to get in there but have fallen down. With jump up and a M 7 you can cover most of the field from a lying down position

Strip ball or tackle really depends on the league.
Against teams where there are lots of dodgers then tackle is better. Tackle is also better if there are lots of Sure Hands ball carriers.
However if neither of those conditions are met (everyone else plays Chaos
) then Strip Ball is a better bet. At worst it forces them to keep the ball with the Sure Hands guy.
On doubles Jump Up or Frenzy, and with Leaping into cages I think Frenzy may be a bit of a liability so I'd take Jump Up.
