Fireballs on your turn

Post by Gertwise »

Ok, let's say I use a fireball and knock one of my own players over. Since it's not a turnover, I don't lose my turn, but you have to use it at the beginning of the turn so none of my players have moved yet.

Does the player that was knocked down get to do anything as long as he's on the pitch?

Had that happen in a game tonight and to me the fair thing is that he doesn't get an action. Just curious what everybody else thinks.

It doesn't matter what I think, the rules say the player hasn't taken an action yet, so he may still take one. Which after a direct hit from a fireball is probably just unstunning, but anyway...

I'm quite sure that if one of your teammate is knocked over by any reason during your turn it's a TO... Exceptions are piling on and diving catch, and missed TTM.

Wonder, fireballs is an exception, it says so in the rules.

So that means if your own player gets prone because of fireball you can still move him as you normally would.

just like a gobbo wich fails landing: if he didn't had a action yet he can have then....

Or... it's similar to a player catching a pass: he can still move...

own player hit by fireball

I think the rules are pretty clear:

-it is not a turn over unless he was carrying the ball
-you can move him at the beginning of your turn
