Quarterbacks...
Out of curiosity... Has anyone developed "odd" position quarterbacks?
Like a big guy for instance... It might not be the wisest of things, but could avoid the game being too predictable... ever heard of a Longbeard star QB?

For us who dont care about what americans call football and never bothered learning anything about it, could you please tell which position a quarterback would be in bloodbowl (blitzer, thrower, catcher..etc)
(PS. hope i did not offend any hardcore american football entusiast now

Ahhh, i wish people could just say that instead of using fancy words like "quarterback"
And i never have developed any odd throwers and the closest i get is my high elf team where i used whatever player was closest to throw the ball (thrower, linemen, catcher it did not matter much which one i used).

nobody mentioned the "great" hobgoblin quarterbacks. Maybe because they don't want to be throwers, but they have to do what CD's tell them.
My hobbo is a thrower just because he has Sure Hands. Actually now he has also Block and Dirty Player. Isn't he GREAT?

Nine out of ten goblins wouldn't miss it for a one-way Troll Air ticket to the end-zone!

Plz excuse me - but to me the quarterback is the dude, who has the tendency to pick up the ball... THEN if he is any good tactically, he is good enough to either throw or rush it....Asmodan wrote:For us who dont care about what americans call football and never bothered learning anything about it, could you please tell which position a quarterback would be in bloodbowl (blitzer, thrower, catcher..etc)

At the risk of over simplification, looking at what Quarterbacks are and they way they play can set the tone for use. I realise that when I use hockey identifications a large percent of coaches have no idea what I am saying, but those who do get so much more.Asmodan wrote:For us who dont care about what americans call football and never bothered learning anything about it, could you please tell which position a quarterback would be in bloodbowl (blitzer, thrower, catcher..etc)

I think so some extent understanding exactly what a QB is can make you use that player differently then a Thrower. In North American football, there are QBs that are throwers, and there are some that are well know for having both a running and passing game- that actually defines the offense of some clubs.
