I'd go with Frenzy without a doubt in my mind...
He'll scare people. That's very valuable. Even if you can't block people with him in the beginning of your turn, the frenzy block in the end of turns will more than make up for it in terms of SPPs.

If you haven't changed Piling On, give it to him 1st skill. Block 2nd.Robotorz wrote:Do you realy think you will get to 31 SPP with a Ogre fast?
Always set him up for 3 dice blocks (where practical).
Keep him next to opponents.
Always move him early on if you don't have to roll dice (so he is in position to block next turn).
If you are feeling lucky, block with him early on in your turn, so if something else fails at least he got his block in.
Do all of those and you'll get your SPPs quickly enough.

Yes, but with just one assist he gets 3 dice on most players. Frenzy is a great skill for a human team to have, but get somebody else Leader as soon as you can.Robotorz wrote:Block! Realy!
Frenzy with out block? I would not block like to have to block 2 times with a Big Guy, without having Block. Turnover Potential is just TOO big.

I have a Leader already
I guess I should add that I already have a lineman with Leader, so I wasn't really considering taking Leader for my Ogre. My league plays rounds with about 20 games, so though it may take a while, I'm fairly confident that at some point in the next season (this one is almost over) I'd be able to get him to 31.
Thanks for the tips. I'm definitely leaning toward Frenzy more now, though I had pencilled in Dodge. I probably have a week to decide. I'll let everyone know what I chose, and how it affected the first game with that skill. It's against a strong Chaos team, so it should be interesting.

I have two Guard Blitzers to help
Yep. I have two Guard Blitzers I could use on the line for that purpose, if setting up an assist would otherwise be too hard.Skummy wrote:Yes, but with just one assist he gets 3 dice on most players. Okay, so to synthesize, I guess there are two good advancement paths to consider (and probably more):
1) Frenzy/Block/??? (Tackle/Break Tackle or Dodge/Stand Firm on Doubles?)
This allows him to beat the $@#* out of people, and also open up holes in the defense. More casualties, hopefully.
2) Dodge/Block/Break Tackle
Cage buster extraordinaire! 3+ dodges into cage, and usually a 1d block on the ball carrier, and that's only if one of the two assists from the corners of the cage can't be negated. Otherwise 2d blocks. Also the Blodge makes him really hard to knock down.
Hmmm... both sound pretty good. I guess I have to think about how each would affect the team, and the role I'd want him to play. (1) is more aggressive, (2) is more conservative.
