Last week i played my 9th league game. Against a Undead Team again and ... again like the last game... another 1:1. One of my Blackorcs was killed by a mummy (Str6!), but survived thanks to my fantastic Apothecary ! This time the coach didnt forget to call him...

Again this game ended (4 turns less second half ) with a riot

After the game i got a new skill for the "Guard" Blitzer... and i got +1 AG. Seems good for me to take this

I got one place left at my roster and decided to buy a Ogre this time. After the buy i got 20.000 left. Now i´m thinking to sell a "unskilled" Lineorc for 25.000 and to buy another gobbo.

Here my team so far:
3 BOs without skill
1 BO with block
1 Blitzer guard, +1AG
1 blitzer +1MA
1 Blitzer strip Ball
1 Blitzer without skill
1 Lineorc with block
1 Lineorc with tackle
2 Lineorcs without skill (one got 2SPP)
1 Thrower with strong arm
1 Gobbo -1AV, catch
1 Gobbo without skill
1 Ogre without skill
TR 164 now 3 RR FF8

Next game will be again some Orcs

And i think, the coach didnt get a BigGuy until now. I have to win some games now to reach the playoffs.

Trav, that is a pretty cool team for TR164. I wouldn't like to mess!

+1 AG Blitzer kicks ass!

Orcs are such a goood team. Especially for newbies (not accusing anyone of being a newbie, just a passing comment! Don't shoot!

Hey, your team starts looking promising!

After the Orge purchase, i'd spend 240k on 2 RRs (if noonce dies). After that i'd consider getting another thrower and maybe another gobbo.

Skillwise, i'd try to get a kicker and a dirty player (just in case you'll hit an heavy fouling opponent or find a wardancer lying around in the sun), preferably on the linemen. THE AG+ blitzer rocks, use him as your main ball carrier and pray for doubles (dodge) on the next skill roll.

yesterday league game 10 against a Orc Team ... and i thought, it would be easy again against this team..

... last time i won 2:1

Well, first mistake my mistake... damm turnmaker !

Of the 8 coaches i played in this league there are just 2 of the " hardliners". I forgot he is one ...and normal i dont forget it, too.

And so it started ugly from the beginning:

- My new Ogre out of the game... this whole game !!... at turn 1. Damm troll kicked him flat...
- hehehe, some revenge for my ogre turn 3. One of his gobbos started the chainsaw.

But one of my blitzer knocked him down and ... oh.. splatter... the gobbo eat his own chainsaw

... and the Apothecary, trying to help him, ripped the chainsaw out of the gobbo, but the heart, too.

DEAD ! YES ! I was lucky, too, as we both got the " Get the ref" from the kick off ( same result).
- Turn 4, i was ready to get a TD with one of my blitzers, no one could reached him, but , just for safety ( you never knew what you forgot..), i put a lineorc on his back ! And... hey... what this ?

... something very bright and very hot started descending direcly on my blitzer. But he managed to avoid the fireball (blitzers with +1AG are fantastic!

), but his linepal wasnt so lucky. He got a big sunburn and stayed away this game, too.

But still 1:0 for my team.
- Turn 5 his last gobbo went flying into the fans... my fans... and got a niggling Injury.

- Turn 6 ... i just was in the position to take the ball back from the opponent... and was called " Illegal Procedure" !

Damm, the opponent coach bribed the referee. ( One of the House Rules of the league, which i forgot ... you pay 25k for illegal procedure or calling off " illegal procedure" ...) and so "my" turn ended with his TD ... 1:1

Second Half ...of 4 KOed just one come back to play for me.

Kick off... oh, my god... Field invasion !

And he got a handicap roll at the beginning which halfed my Fan factor ! Bad Press ! But still i won this... and rolled a 1 !

One of his blitzer was stunned. But next turn one of my blitzers went down... smashed hip... I started hating this troll... but my apothecary saved him.

After fantastic throwing dices for dodging and " go for its" he got his 2. TD ... 2:1 > §$§&*'$%&$§§ <
Maybe i should stick on painting minis... he started again with a "blitz"...
And i had to concentrate my players on one site as i got no much left on the field. Again Murphys Law... the ball shattered directly... into my not defended site...

Turn 7 and 8 i just hardly stopped him scoring a 3:1... my two gobbos kept bidding the legs of his blitzers... they are the real heroes !

A fun game with a lot of surprising things happening... mainly for me !
No injured players for the next game against a chaos team. But no new skill, too.

Traveller you will need some players with tackle if you are going to meet some Dodgy Teams. If you dont manage to get tackle soon you will have no chances against high Tr Dodgy Teams.

And what stupid player is this (me

), who didnt knew using a reroll will cancel this turnover. Argh ! I thought, the only way to cancel this house rule is to use a " Anti illegal procedure call ", i have to buy at the managment of the league.

So, i´m quite sure, i could have won this game or got a even at last.

Yesterday my opponent coach of the Chaos team conseded... because of illnes... maybe partly true, but i think he dont like to play anymore, too.
Anyway... so i will got one more MVP and some money.

- Just great... my wounded Gobbo (-1AV) become MVP again !

-The second MVP, i got from the opponent team MVP, went to another Blitzer, which will get a new skill now. Bad thing, he got a niggling because of aging, too.

Blitzers #1 Guard, +1AG
Blitzers #2 +1MA
Blitzers #3 nothing
Blitzers #4 Strip Ball, ... , and now what ?

-As i got just one Lineorc with Tackle, maybe tackle ? This is the more defensive version...
-Or better Mighty Blow for the more offensive version ?
-Hm, "Pass block" seems interesting, too. I got some situations, where i just needed the three more steps for a tacklezone on the catcher or thrower

Well, i got money, too. 160k and my roster is full. Maybe i´m should buy two more RRs ? 40k left this way. House rules allows to sell a unhurt player for half of his price. Maybe sell one lineorc without SPP and skill and buy a third Gobbo ? I still got one LineOrc with Block, one with Tackle and one with 2 SPPs. So i would end with 5 RR, 25k and a new third Gobbo...something new to throw for my ogre

BTW... TR is 183.

Next team i will play against is a Norse team.

Don't RR cost double if you buy them later on in your league (they do in LRB). Anyway, more RR is always good if you don't need anything else

If your Cockerel is really full and you have enough rerolls i woold think about replacing players with injuries (for example your blitzer with NI).
They will even get worse with more aging and by replacing them you can bring your teamrating down.
