Dwarf Development

Well, here is the thing. I started a new Dwarf team, never really played them for long before. I'm 7 games out with the team, I really have no idea what to do with the money. I usually play AG teams like WEs, but I've never got to this problem before with those teams, always someone to replace.

I have 13 players, I don't have an Ogre, but I've found them more a liability than any help, and with the new rules it wouldn't feel right to pick one either. I have 4 RRs, and the last two games I've never got the chance to use them up, so it doesn't feel like I need one of those either. In these 7 games, I've only had 3 Cas against too, not to many bashy teams in this league. The new wizard will come after 1. January, so I can't use money on the current one either (I can but he is meant to make me more money

). Any comments? I'll see if I can get a link to the team if it will help anything.

PS! Forgot to say that I have 130k to go crazy with.

Well, this is my gripe.

What can you do with 130K on a dwarf team? Got all your positional players? Umm...got a runesmith?

Umm...buy more rerolls?

Buy another lino - 14 players should be enough for the long term. Keep 50k (or so) handy so that you can replace anyone that dies. Then burn any money you have after that on freebooting the Deathroller or a Runesmith, to keep you TR low.

I'd make sure you've got all 6 positional players - and 8 longbeards.

Spend the rest on rerolls. You say you've got 4 already - and don't use them. Well start using them on push backs or similar unnecessary rolls. It has the nice side effect of lowering your TR too.

Once you've got access to the runesmith I'm sure you'll enjoy hiring him.

Also consider hiring a couple of cheerleaders and assistent coaches as that extra +1 / +2 to the roll on the kick-off table is nice. Maybe you don't need the rerolls, but your opponent might and why not keep them from him.

Thanks for the fast help on this. One LB on the way. I'm looking forward to getting the runesmith. At last they have a wizard worth using
