My question is, is this possible? Can a player run, pick up the ball and do a handoff to the goblin. The goblin waits with his turn and get thrown by the Troll. When the goblin lands he runs away deep in to the opponents area. hmm, doesnt the goblin have to make his action directly after he recieves the handover?
Usually when you pass a ball to a player in your team, is it the same situation there? can you wait with your action and move with another player before the player who received the ball moves?

Yes, perfectly ok. A player can recieve a Pass or Hand-Off without being 'activated' and having to take his turn next. A Catch is not an action...you've declared no action for that player, you're fine to take actions with other players and come back to that player later in the turn.
