Hi,
Got a one-off game coming up using the Lizards vs the Norse with both teams using new starting rosters. For such a game is it worth investing in a kroxigor? They seem a little expensive for what they offer. Or would I be better starting with a 6 sauri/ 6 skink; 5 sauri/ 7 skink formation?
Cheers Leipziger
PS I know they aren't new but those bunny girl/ nun figures absolutely rock. Much more appealing than the GW amazon figures.
6 Saurus 6 skink seems fine
Just make sure you have at least 3 re rolls , You will need them with the lizzies lack of skills.

I see only 2 reasons to have one :
- at the start of you league, it is a long term choice, since he will have more time to earn SPP but like many big guys, he's no safe until he's got block.
- later in the league, buy him to be able to field 7 ST4+ (even 8 if freebooting Silibili). For me, the Kroxi is some kind of pillar I set in the middle of the field, which greatly annoy your opponent but which cannot really develop your play (bonehead + turnover risk on block = I block only a couple of time in a match).
Against norses, 6 sauri can protect your skinks (needs 3 norse to have a 2dice block against a saurus), so maybe the 6 sauri/5 skinks/4 FF/3 TRR is a good roster : with proper positionning, skinks won't be exposed.
Beware of Frenzy (don't stay too close to the border) and Jump Up (don"t follow norse blitzers).

I'd say no league, no Krox. I play both Norse and Lizards, and see no need for the Big Guy. Your line Str will be so high he's praying for both down results with just the Saurus. If I were you I'd take 5 or 6 Saurus and Silibilli. He's better than a Krox any day. He can also carry the ball if all your Skinks get hurt... and they will if that Norse coach rolls even average and has any sense.
A one off game I'd take the Krox & 2 rerolls. Prehensile tail will severely effect the Norse ability to dodge away from him and Mighty Blow ought to cut them up if he gets to hit - remember to try to line him up for 3 dice blocks to maximise his effectiveness.
LeipThanks for the advice boys.
I went with a 6 saurus/5 skink/3RR/4FF line-up vs the norse boys. Scored v.quickly but was down to 9 players when opponent contrived an equaliser. Almost sneaked a winner on the last drive. Better positioning throughout the game and I would have won (should have remembered that Blitzers have jump up/frenzy; I know that was listed!)
