Anyway. There is a girl at our club who plays BB, and has done for as long as it's been running. Although she now has 2 kids, so perhaps I should describe her as a woman. One of them, it is rumoured, by Ian Pickstock. :-?

Ladyorka plays Fumbbl. AFAIK she's the only female BB opponent I've played against in 15 years.

Arn't they are Dwarves

I thought female gamers where like female dwarves, hard to tell apart. I remember years ago 2 women playing BB or was that just wishful thinking

The object of Bloodbowl is not to die for your team, but make the other bastard die for their team.

I gave up playing Blood Bowl years ago, didn't have the time etc. Then I started dating this girl who pulled the board out of a cupboard one day and asked me if I had ever played.
That was 2 years ago, been playing ever since and she is a good Coach.
I thought I better not let this one get away so I married her last month - Blood Bowl till we're old! Great!

We'll.. it's not too difficult to understand that women won't play a game with such high percentage of violence. ;)
Here in the league I play, we've got only two, but one of them is a good player... here are her stats

Games Played: 130
Win: 54
Draw: 19
Loss: 57

My girlfriend actually likes violence (only in movies and/or games, obviously).

She plays BloodBowl, but likes painting minis better. I'm not complaining since I get to play with really cool painted minis.

Finish those dwarves, Woman!

Is it any wonder most women won't play BBowl. Just look at the sort of boys that play the game. Maybe I'm simplifying but the last time I went into a GW store I felt so disgusted by the Foul Appearance of the patrons and staff that I failed the roll and had to leave without making my purchase.

Nearly the same situation for my girlfriend at my local shop...

" What, you want to visit this shop full of smelly, blackclothed, smoking , hardrock hearing meaniacs ? ... well, make it fast , i will wait outside ! "

Ok, not always, but sometimes its true, there are some roleplayer guys ( or maybe orcs in disguise ? ), too, which smell like they living in the woods or the darkest dungeons. :o
But the local BBs, which visited my place, too, are OK. :)

Those GW-shops are something special. I'm guessing that in order to work there, you must have ADHD, drink at least 2 pots of extra strong coffee before you go to work and have the psychological profile of a stalker.
