+1 MA on a Saurus - was it a good idea?

Post by Darkson »

I rolled a non-double MA increase for a Saurus' first skill, and I took the MA, thinking he could keep up with the Skinks better. But was it a good idea?

Hopefully, this link will allow you to see the team:

Well, it is a bit risky really.

I'd suggest block then break tackle for this guy.

If he gets that far, then the +ma will pay off, before that, well, 7/4/1/9 is seriously inferior to 6/4/1/9 block.

With a regular Saurus this is the way to go but with the extra mv he needs break tackle next. Quite a reliable 2 turn scorer then on any touchbacks.

He becomes your middle linebacker on defense. He can now roam to either side of the field and plug any holes that might develope. I always think MA increases are worth it.

I have 2! Saurus with +1 Mv. I love it. You have 6 of them plus the Krox, so holding the middle is no problem. I run mine on the wide outs. Nastiest cornerbacks around. On O you can keep up with the Skinks, and on D good luck outrunning them. I gave 1 of them Shadowing, that gives people fits too. I never regretted the Mv increase, and was reluctant to take it. Now I'm sold. The team is very fast. Your team has more Mv increases, with the Saurus running up there too he can keep the stunties safer.

I find skilling Saurus to be a painful task - and +MA doesn't really make him much more useful or gain him SPPs any faster.

I'd have taken Break Tackle or Block instead. Doubles on the 1st skill I'd take Frenzy.

I took + MA too on my fumbbl-saurus and it helped me a lot.
As neo said i use him as my defense safety, because if he stands in the middle of my half he can get everywhere without any GFI.
Next skill will be break tackle to really have that speed.
For block results you can always use a reroll, for important dodges (and you have to dodge often to make crucial blitzes) even rerolls won´t help.
