I thought about always move 4 Squares to force him to use gfi with the mummys. But the field isn't so long that i can use this tactic all the game.

I live in the near of Heidelberg.

:o :o :o

Hey, another one from the region ... and another league and a big one, quite a surprise ... that's the 5th league in the Heidelberg/Mannheim area i know of, wow!!!

Would you be interested to play a one-day, 3 game Kurpfalz Cup on a Sunday at some point this year? I think we could easily get 20 ppl together if we throw HBBL, MBBL, BBLH and some of the other guys together.

Hi Tim. Nice to meet you.

Ich glaube das wäre sehr geil wenn das klappen würde. Schreib doch mal in unser Forum an unseren Liga Comissioner.

Yeah - there are advantages and disadvantages to whatever tactic you decide to use...

Concerning your treeman...

On offense you can use him to pin preferably as many players as possible...
I prefer to keep my tree on the pitch as long as possible and not put in near 2 mummies, where he might be lucky to get one, but what them about the second... ups... mummy blitz next turn = treeman down... then fouled to hell... sry... I wouldn´t recommend it...

Lets be frank... theres is no way that you´ll be able to avoid a mummy blitzing every turn... Yes you could put your treeman in both mummy tz´s, but how long do you think he´ll stay on-pitch? ... so... use your treeman the way he uses his mummies... to beat up soft targets one-by-one... Yes he´ll use zombie as treeman fodder... they don´t last forever... maybe regenerate, but your are playing to get superior numbers on the pitch... Your developed treeman is a bit more difficult to timber than a mummy...

Defense... again if you don´t support then he´ll end up in the box... and by choosing to support him, you choose to put your linemen in opposing tz´s... not good to WE survival, unless you outnumber... so... put him in a place where he can hold his own, and you still get the benefits of his size... the widezone... he´ll pin 1-2 players and one flank protected by the sideline...

No matter what you do, the undead player is in for a lot of trouble, because WE can win even if heavily outnumbered. I was outnumbered 9-3 against an Orc team recently... had 2 WD´s and a lineman... still won 3-1...

GL!

@Nagash, yes you're right too. In the last games the tree did not do anything, except of getting of the pitch. So maybe use him in a different way(the widezone tactic) could be useful. He might stay longer in the game as two turns. That would be good too for me. :D

Nagash: Two mummies vs. av 7 elves will get way more cas than 1 treeman vs av 8 regen zombies.
Put the tree on the line, but don't just abandon him. Keep your crapo linemen near. I can basically assure you this'll tie up 2 mummies and 2 zombies for a long time. Remember that people who play undead (me included) like taking out targets, and tend to get caught up in it.

So, the game has been played. I've won 4:1. It was a great game. My Woodies did what they best can: TD,Dodge and Pass. My treeman worked pretty well at the line. He bound the mummies and one zombie all the game long. He tried to block. Push Backs all the time. I blocked him with one dice Pow all the time. 8) :D . I was a bit lucky, for sure.

So the WD did well aswell. I love them. D

And thancks for all your tactical advice. I've got another question. I rolled a pash for a lineman with dodge. What should i give him? Guard or Dauntless. I have no other player with these Traits.

"pash" = pasch (german) = double (english) :)

I'd go guard. Dauntless is nice, but guard is so much better on a lineman, as it brings his two neighbors to STR4.

Thank you Tim.
I should have known that.
Yeah i think i will take guard. It's better for my weak defense.
