wild animal rules...

Post by cthol »

well, i've a minotaur playing in the FUMBBL league at the moment:

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team& ... m_id=39133

He's on 16 casualties and 2 touchdowns so far, so i can't really complain. i think it's worth declaring blitzes with him if he can't throw a block right away, if only for the surprise factor: people don't expect minotaurs to charge any more :) definitely it changes the way they're played, but i don't think they're rubbish now, the way a lot of people seem to... just have to find out a good role for them in your team. I think PRO is now a required first skill if possible, then block and tackle. shadowing would also be pretty funny...:)

Not sure if this is what you meant, or if FUMBBL's using all the updated rules, but Pro's a Trait now. :(

1 game vs. new Rat Ogre, about TR 190- mt TR 175 Lizards.

RO was used as a Safety in the 1st half, but both times he was supposed to Blitz he failed and wasted the blitz. 2 points for me. When he was placed on the line my Saurus were able to clear out his linemen and a Blocker Saurus with assists clobbered him. He didn't stand up and I was able to rape his team with my 7 guys at Str 4 or 5. Last drive he was fielded, he got knocked down and wouldn't get up. I fouled him, BH, out the rest of the game. Nothing my opponant tried worked. He did less than a lineman would.

Pro is that last thing I would give to my mino. The double is WAY better spend with tentacles.

hmmm, yeah, it is a trait, think i rolled doubles first time... can't agree about tentacles, though, i find pro is indispensable. first off, for getting up and blitzing, but also rerolling block dice every turn... can't be beat. i think it seriously speeds up the rate at which the SPPs build up. Tentacles is a great trait/ability/whatever it is now...:) but i think it's a good 2nd/3rd choice. Pro, block and tentacles would be great.
