If you're playing a team like the Khemri, lots of DPs are totally worth it. Skeletons suck, and even trading a skeleton for other teams line fodder is worth it much of the time. Same goes for the classic Undead team and Skaven. It's prohibitively difficult on Goblin and Halfling teams to get even one DP, but fouling early and often is almost necessary with the stunties.

Unfortunately, with four DPs you'll most likely face alot of animosity from your fellow coaches.

Generally speaking, fouling a lot can be very effective. A team with a lot of DP will eventually get the opposition off the board. But does it win matches? I am not sure about that. Like someone said before me, fouling a lot costs actions and men, that are consequently not used elsewhere. This could cost you a few TDs. If you and your opponent have few players to start with it is better than when both of you have a full roster. For me the costs of fouling also includes that consideration: are there any players giving assists to the foul present already and can they still move after the foul? If given a choice between attacking the ball / going for a TD and fouling an important player I always go for the first.

In the middle of a PBeM game against some CD's, and forgot that I had the ref for the 1st half  . But when I remmebered I managed to SI (MNG) a CD (that killed my Guard lineman  ), Stun than BH the only BC, and BH one of the 3 Hobgobs that showed up for the match (3 niggled out! :o ). I wouldn't have usually fouled that much, but the CD was revenge :D , and the BC (speed) and HG (agility) where tactical. Much easier to defend against a CD team that just contains CD

That would be pretty much my thinking - its hard to foul when you've also got the rest of the game to think about. Or at least, its hard to foul effectively. But then again, I'm not very good so it could be where I'm going wrong (amongst other things, obviousy). So its nice to ehar someone else thinks the same.

Its not about fouling jo blow your average human lineman.
Its about breaking your opponent psycologicaly, Tactical fouling is what we call it. You target your opponents favourite player you kill it....believe me instantly you get the upper hand as most people are attached to them
I think you missed the sarcasm in my last post, but if you have 16 players 4 of them dirty you can afford to do this. 8)

Well, sarcasm or not I've heard it proposed by others as well as a tactic so its worthy of discussion.

Obviously its nice to win but I play in a (mostly) social setting, so killing my best mates Werewolf is just going to cost me several rounds in order to get him to forgive me. I'll bear it in mind though.
